I thoroughly read reviews as we were passing through town and wanted to sit down for dinner. Some reviews good. Some reviews not so good. Parking lot was full. We were seated quickly. The restaurant appears to be a refurbished Ponderosa, very pretty on the inside. Warm wood and stone. Salad bar was well stocked with 15-20 fresh items...even sardines. Itâs $2.99 extra...not a bad deal. My sirloin was unbelievably tender. Wood fired perfectly! My husbands filet and my sonâs burger were also awesome. We were very pleased with our meal and service! Thank you!

We attended a private function at the restaurant which is located on Main Street across from the remnants of Dan River Mills...very interesting location. The building itself used to house the famous "Schoolfield Lunch". We ordered the crab cakes which consisted of lump crab with minimal filler served with rice and very tender asparagus . It was excellent...a true Maryland crab cake. The garden salad, grilled scallops appetizer, bread with dipping oil were very complimentary to the main course. The waitstaff were very efficient and attentive. We will return to support our local businesses. Thank you for a very nice evening.

We came here Sunday after church. We had to wait a really long time. After two other groups were seated we talked to the hostess and she admitted that she had skipped over us. She did not say why. Then when my food came the vegetables were literally mush. Very disappointing lunch. Hey Petra,We hate to hear about the disappointing experience. We can do better than this. We hadnât seen a Western Sizzlin in years so seeing one in Danville we decided to stop in for dinner. We quickly seen why you donât see any Western Sizzlins anymore ... just gross. Buffet options have no flavor. The best thing they had on the buffet were the rolls. Our steaks were ok but on the bland side. My husbands shrimp were burnt. Only reason for the two star rating instead of 0 stars is because the people were nice. We wonât be back. No thanks!
