Fuimos recomendados por la oficina de turismo en busca de un bar de tapeo y nos pusieron unas tristes cuatro papas, sin ninguna atención. No mola

This simple and unpretentious restaurant, housed in the old goods store, next to the tiny station, offers a wide variety of local meat cooked in their huge asador (wood burning oven). It is only open at the weekend, and appears to be very popular amongst the local residents. Their portions are large- we shared a platter of mixed Iberian meats between two of us as a starter, which was ample. Suckling pig was tender and delicate in flavour, as was the leg of lamb- both succulent. The bland, possiby tinned, vegetable macedoine and chips appear to be the standard accompaniment, but the meat was the main delight. The house wine was drinkable. This turned out to be an inexpensive meal in a delightful setting. Warm welcome by the staff. We shall return.Thank you for your visit and your opinion on TripAdvisor.Thank you very much and greetings to all

After a day of visiting the leather shops of Ubreque on foot we climbed the hill to Restaunte Plaza. Still the quiet season with no crowds my friend, his family and I were treated most graciously by the hostess and others working there. A casual and enjoyable dining experience with excellent service and delicious plate of pork, patatas, and vegetables served with basket of fresh bread topped of with a fine cafe con leche ! Group of five for less than thirty euros! Following the meal a free tour of the Museo Toros and they opened the gates of the Ubreque bull ring and allowed us to roam freely to explore and take a lot of pictures. For this old American a long way from home this dining experience topped of a truly pleasent visit to this ancient white town in the kingdom of Espana!

Always a great evening at El Muelle. The food here is excellent (unless you are vegetarian) - superb menu of local and Galician dishes - all freshly prepared and delicious and a good choice of wines to accompany.Staff are very friendly and welcoming. They donât open every day but Friday and Saturday are a safe bet for both lunch and dinner.

Yes, worth a visit if you find yourself in Villaluenga de Rosario during the middle of the afternoon on a baking hot summer's day and nothing else open. Villaluenga del Rosario is well worth a visit if you are driving through the towns and villages of the pueblos blancos. The scenery is stunning and it's a worth while stop and some exploring. The town is well known as production center of a fine range of Andalucian goats cheese. (The excellent quality of artisan Andalucian goat's cheese is one of the world's best kept culinary secrets. I recommend you buy some whenever you have the opportunity.) The town also has a very interesting plaza de toros (bull ring). I don't go to bull fights but I am fascinated by the history of bullfighting and the architecture of bull rings. This one is well worth a visit. So, back to the food. There's nowhere else to eat apart from a nice looking hotel which was closed. It was a very hot day and so my wife and I were as thirsty as hungry and opted went for the menu del dia. Very traditional soup to start followed by a pork chop and chips and washed down with a chunk of watermelon to finish. All this for under 10 euros: what's not to like? The service was fine and there were a few local families and friends eating here. .Please don't come here and write a crummy review if you expect fine dining. That's not what this place is about. It's a basic joint with honest food at honest prices. Someone has uploaded the menu so you have an idea what to expect. If you want better (and more expensive) you will have to hope the hotel restaurant is open or drive on to Grazalema. Because of it's stripped down nature I can't give it more than an average rating but I'm happy to recommend this place for the reasons above

En la carretera antes de llegar a Benadalid, se encuentra esta venta, aunque en estas fechas es tranquila, su cocina tradicional bien merece una parada, agradable personal y muy servicial.

We were staying in a friends villa in the side of the mountains 10 mins from this beauty. So glad we dined here. We own an italian in Cheshire and love trying new places and when you find a gold mine like this you have to shout about it. Firstly the owner and the main waiter who served us on every visit were so friendly and welcoming and made our evenings more special. The place....hidden out of the main areas and such a beautiful restaurant that its well worth the drive to it. The food....WOW. Prefection. The veal chop, to die for. The salads, vegetables fish, steaks...full of flavour and left you wanting more. Great for the kids too. Can't wait to go back just to visit here. AmazingThank you very much for visiting us and repeating each night. We love having clients like you.We hope to see you again through our restaurant.Again, we thank you and wish you cordial greetings from the Valdivia Restaurant team.

My wife and I stumbled across this restaurant whilst out on a drive in the Spanish hills, Sunday late lunchtime, place looked busy, plenty of cars parked outside, so we stopped and entered the building. The menu is only available in Spanish but that's our problem, we had a quick look and decided on salmon & langoustine skewers, we were asked if we wanted a salad and was offered the house salad which was enormous, had fresh mango in it and a very sweet sticky dressing - it was superb. We sat outside in the mid March sunshine just above the pool - the views were amazing. The skewers arrived and were very tasty - good portions - most enjoyable. The food and drink was inexpensive - we were made most welcome & we would certainly visit again if we ever find it again!
