The restaurant is located in the Plaza Major in the centre of the pretty little village of Chinchon. The hotel has balconies to overlook the Plaza. The food was excellent, the Gazpacho, nice steak and fries and a really interesting dessert with 'cheese cream' and mango sorbet. If you are looking for an escape from Madrid, get in the car and come here.

We had a good meal consisting of local dishes. There was one problem though. My plate of Jamon Iberico de Belota (JIdB) contained Jamon alright, but not JIdB. I can tell JIdB on a blind tasting, and it was not that but some cheaper version of jamon - could have been jamon serrano or something similar. When the bill came it said JIdB. So there was no possibility of an error. They didn't even bother to enquire why the plate was left unconsumed. I wonder what motivated them, perhaps they thought that a gringo wouldn't be able to tell the difference?I would still recommend the restaurant, only stay away from the Jamon.

We were the only diners on a chilly Saturday evening in April. My steak was tasty but not a filet as described. My other half chose rabo de toro, but it was not up to the standard of other rstaurants. When we arrived the waiting staff were smoking inside the restaurant.
