Took the family here for dinner to celebrate my wife's birthday. We had reservations and arrived 15 minutes early and were seated right away. The waiter was very nice and explained everything about the menu and the specials. My wife had the stone crabs and really enjoyed them. I had the 16oz porter and it was great very juicy, flavorful, and was a good medium cook. I also highly recommend the Boston Cream pie for dessert. Although it was a very expensive meal, everyone enjoyed it and thought it was worth the price.

My son and I were able to navigate to the ChopHouse after a visit to the National Gallery. It was the perfect environment to chat about our favorite art pieces. The steak was great and the Oatmeal Stout was just what the doctor ordered.

Very upscale dining with lots of little "treats" during your meal. Complimentary starter, awesome gruyere popovers and complimentary ending to your meal ( not a dessert, but a sweet ending ). I had the crispy skinned, salt brick chicken. Great flavor, served with a bacon, squash and corn succotash. Great meal, but be prepared for the prices. Check out the menu beforehand. Their signature appetizer is a carmelized bacon slice with a smoked rosemary garnish. A little "show" with your food.

There were five tables with customers. Kyla our waitress spent mere time chatting it up with the bartender than checking on us. She didn’t bring her A Game tonight. Very frustrating. Nice restaurant that we have eaten at ten times Good food. I expect better service. Asked for more bread...never got it. $30 a plate I want good service.

After scouring restaurant reviews, I picked Charlie Palmer for its Friday Prime Rib specials. The price fixe menu was $69 and included a wedge salad, the primeRib entree with fully dressed baked potato and a Banana brownie dessert. The restaurant was quiet and comfortable but the food was very average. Service was intrusive and annoying in the beginning and then our waitress disappeared after the entrees were served. Two drinks were $30 and my glass of red wine was $37. Food was overpriced and the waitress charged me for the complimentary birthday glass of wine. We will not go back and would recommend The Prime Rib as a much better choice.

Heard a lot about this place before ever stepping foot inside. It is absolutely worth the hype. Highly recommend starting with the biscuits and watermelon salad. Oysters are also amazing. Order the cauliflower (presentation is awesome). Honestly can't go wrong. Everything we tried was delicious and have a great cocktail menu. Very close to Union Market.

Happened to come across Capital Grille which had been recommended to us so popped in for lunch. Lovely dinning room, very smart and elegant. Excellent waiter who was attentive and helpful in making recommendations from a number of superb choices on the menu.Chose the Filet Mignon with wild mushrooms. The meat was cooked to perfection and was beautifully succulent and the depth of flavour with the mushrooms was stunning. Unfortunately as we were on business we did not have time to spend time fully enjoying the surroundings, but could have easily spent several hours enjoying meal with a bottle of red wine from the extensive selection.
