We were in about 20 minutes after opening on a Sunday and it took almost an hour with very few other patrons in the restaurant. Very slow. Main food probably took close to 25 minutes to arrive from ordering. Our server was pleasant and kept everything refilled. It just seems like for whatever reason the food service is unacceptably slow unlike Texas Roadhouse. The food was also average, it was nothing worth waiting an hour for and my husbandâs steak was a little over cooked, mine was a little rare. We didnât dare send them back. We noticed the tables next to us that came in later having the same slow service. I can only imagine this gets worse as the place fills up. They also have peanuts but no extra bucket to put the shells so it was just a big mess. Pretty disappointing from start to finish.We're sorry to hear we fell short of a great dining experience, Gustav. The Texas Roadhouse on IH 35and Slaughter Lane is consistently our go to steak home. We have been eating here since it has opened. The staff is friendly and helpful. They start you off with peanuts and homemade, melt in your mouth rolls ,with cinnamon butter. Since we canât make a good steak , this has become our go to steak place. They cook the most tender , delicious, steaks around. They hand cut their own beef and they do it well. We also enjoy their potatoes, baked , sweet or white , broccoli and their salad which includes cheese , croutons , eggs and carrots. It is a great place to visit while in Austin. It has the Willie Nelson vibe with pictures and memorabilia from its famous owner. Kudos!!!

This is not a place I would invite friends to because it's a toss up if you can get the item's on the printed and on line menus. Management takes no responsibility for not ordering needed items. It's the customers responsibly to find out if the item wanted is stocked. Thank goodness for excellent wait staff and good food when available. Management need training on customer service.
