Went here with friends and family for my birthday. The food is amazing. I had the half’s rack of ribs, which was a mammoth portion and they were cooked to perfection! The meat just fell off the bone and was juicy and tender. I highly recommend them! My OH had a steak which he said was cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious. Everyone that went enjoyed their food and said how good it was! Price wise it is expensive, hence why we went on a special occasion, but you get what you pay for and was worth the money! The service was a little slow and there was a little language barrier between us and the waitress as She bought the wrong drinks, but other than that it was a great night, with great atmosphere, wonderful views of Dee Why beach and sea and amazing food... what more could you ask for!

Can't book for less than 6 and very hard to get a booking even with 6+, but once you're at your table its a great experience. Your only real choice is how many grams of t-bone you want. We were 6 men and 2.2kg was not too much but sufficient if you order a few sides. Great quality beef. Zero choice but thats a good thing, in this day and age with so many dietary restrictions and supposed allergies its great to be forced into an environment where you don't really have a choice. Absolutely not for everyone but an amazing experience.Hi Andrew,Thank you for your kind words. We have just recently extended our opening hours with the Dining Room opening from 5:30pm in the hope that this is going to make it easier for guests to nab a table.Looking forward to having you (and friends!) dine with us again sooner rather than later.Bec

Dee Why RSL has several restaurants, but Flame is the highest quality among them. It is elegant, has a tastefully designed interior, and several waiters and waitresses are slaloming in between the tables silently. The reason, why we have to go regularly is because Flame is famous for its steak. On our last visit, my order was a Grandma’s crumbed lamb’s brain with mushy peas, mint, prosciutto crisp, horseradish mayo, since I’m not too keen on red meat. From this long name, I only liked the mushy peas. Usually, I’m ordering calf brain, since about my opinion it has much better taste, but here it wasn’t a choice. My partner had his steak and was satisfied with it.The restaurant a bit pricy, only the booze are exceptions since they sold on club prices. The service is attentive and spotless. It is recommended for steak lovers.
