Discover Restaurants offering the best Steakhouse food in Brooklyn, New York, United States. It seems like most folks have a grandmother, great-uncle or some other distant relative that used to live in Brooklyn, or perhaps a friend that lives there now. In the early 1900s, it was a mecca for immigrants arriving via Ellis Island. A hundred years later, young professionals and artists left pricey Manhattan digs for Brooklyn's cheaper and more expansive space. Neighborhoods like Brooklyn Heights and Park Slope, which had fallen into disrepair over the years, were restored and reborn as funky enclaves. Walk or bike over the historic Brooklyn Bridge (or ride the subway) to Brooklyn Heights for a stroll along the Promenade and breathtaking views of the Manhattan skyline. Meander through Prospect Park and the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens for a taste of nature in the urban wilds. Catch a performance at the world-famous Brooklyn Academy of Music. From the delicious Italian restaurants of Bensonhurst to the Irish bars that line the avenues of Bay Ridge, from the hotdogs and rollercoasters of Coney Island to the bagels and handball courts of Greenpoint, Brooklyn is a state of mind as well as a dynamic community. Discover why, no matter where people move on to, they remain Brooklynites at heart.

Established financial district restaurant from 1972 serving great wines, steaks and superb service with a throwback feel.
My wife and I called in here after visiting the 9/11 Memorial and we were so glad we did. We were the only guests dressed as tourists with the rest of the clientele clearly the post-work crowd. A few guests' eyebrows were raised when we were escorted to our seats. However, the staff treated us amazingly well without any judgement, which was great. The steaks were amazing as were their Kentucky Mule cocktails, which weren't even on the menu but provided on request. The boneless Cajun rib-eye was sensational. Top notch. We really enjoyed Harry's and will certainly return the next time we are in NYCWhat a lovely thing to say, I'm so happy you had a great time. The cajun Rib eye is my personal favorite. Ps. we strive to welcome regulars and strangers with the same warmth and respect.

There are some brands that earn your trust over multiple cities and experiences. The Four Season's anywhere. Nobu. In n Out when you need a burger! The Capital Grille is one of those brands. There are better steak houses in certain cities for sure, but you can walk in the door of a Capital Grille nearly anywhere, and trust that you are going to have a great steak, very good service, and be comfortable. My group of four had been battered by three days in New York City, subways, walking the Brooklyn Bridge, yelling our heads off to cheer on our college team, and standing wall to wall with other alums in bars in Brooklyn. It was a lot of fun, but by Saturday night we wanted a great meal, some peace and quiet, and comfort. Voila...time to call the Capital Grille. We self disclosed upon arrival at the front desk that we were tired, cranky and probably best seated a bit away from civilized folks that may be out enjoying a nice romantic dinner or such. They wisely escorted us to the second floor, and well away form the nearest table. PERFECT! Our waiter fit the bill perfectly. A font of knowledge, and very efficient. Drinks were ordered, and then some wine, and the steaks started to flow. This was easy and comfortable dining. As we regained our footing, we enjoyed a variety of steaks, some oysters, a bit of dessert and some great wine. We took our time, the waiter blew us away with his knowledge of the wine list (turns out an ex level 1 sommelier) and the Capital Grille brand delivered for us yet again.
