Find out what Steakhouse restaurants to try in Braga. Sometimes called the “Portuguese Rome” for its many churches, Braga is an ancient town in northwest Portugal. Its history and livelihood are tied to Christianity dating to the 3rd century. The city’s 12th-century Sé (Cathedral) is still one of the most popular attractions. Just outside of town lies the renowned Bom Jesus de Monte pilgrimage sanctuary, with its striking Baroque stairway. After dark, the stoic town turns upside down, with a rich nightlife thanks to its many university students.

Taberna Inglesa

This is one of the few places in Braga where you can go late at night to have a decent dinner. The service is excellent though a bit slow, but I guess this is the price for making things in the moment (and not warmed precooked meals). Anyway, just because of that I gave it a 4 in 5. The dishes are mainly meat but it is so tasteful and soft that, although the doses are not small, you will wish they were bigger. You can also have fast food (hamburgers and sandwiches) and some other specialties. To drink you can have... well this is a bar so you can have whatever you want, from just wine, sangria, caipirinha,...The place itself tries to have a British feel and is decorated with good taste and good lighting. Not having outdoor seating is a drawback during the hot days of summer. Anyway, whether you go there with a bunch of friends or with someone special, it is one of the best places in Braga.Olá muito boa noite! I went here on the recommendation of a local and was surprised to learn that Kartilho is new! I was recommended a steak by the lovely smiley waitress and also ordered fries and stewed vegetables. The steak was perfectly cooked for me with a tender centre. It was also extremely filling so come on an empty stomach! The chunky chips were a bit too crispy for me but that's my preference (as a Brit I love a good portion of soggy fat chips). Tge vegetables were softly cooked mushrooms, aubergines, courgette and peppers which were delicious and suited the steak well. What I also really like was the presentation of things. The branding here is very strong with blue individual pots serving the veg and the steak presented sliced on wooden board. Really adds to the experience and makes this place well worth visiting. very central in Braga and has a nice "date-night" feel. Worth a visit :)
