The restaurant is really, really, really, big and divided into multiple rooms. It may depend a little bit in which room you end up but for me it felt like I was eating at a large cafeteria place, not a nice restaurant, and certainly not what I was expecting for a steak house. Also if you have a restaurant of this size you need to have a much larger wait staff. The wait times for no particular reason are stupid. The steaks were good, at least for those of us at the table who didn't ordered the Belgium Steak. That Belgium steak was just not restaurant quality. Overall I think there are much better places in Borgloon. Especially if you are going to spend $50--$85 per person

When we are in full carnivore-mode, there typically 3 steakhouses in and around Sint-Truiden that we go to get our fix.These are the âSteakhouse Sint Trudoâ, a place called âVleesgegroetâ and this one âIn de Zwaanâ. Each of those places has their pros and cons.But, for a hearty soup to start and served with good-quality bread, and all that followed by an honest steak with great sauce(s) and excellent fries, this restaurant is always a solid bet.

Tiny little restaurant close to the central market place in Sint-Truiden where meat is king. Friendly service and proper no-frills cooking. Mise-en-bouche was offered (small classic style brocoli cream soup based on home-made stock). Excellent quality meat - would be hard to find better quality. We had the 400 grams Belgian 'white/blue' steak which was superbly cooked and seasoned - was so tender and tasteful one could have even enjoyed just the steak without fries and home-made Bearnaise sauce! Expensive but highly recommended. Limited but more than sufficient wine list.

Now this place since I was a little girl. Noticed the changes in the interior that gave the place more a restaurant look. Love the black tiles of the kitchen. Still fascinated of the cows that are honored on the walls.If you like grilled meat and you are really hungry. You need to visit this place in Hasselt or in Borgloon and explore the standard 3 courses menu.They serve huge pieces of meat. Grilling is at the customers choice. For non meat lovers they have alternatives such as fish plates or homemade vegi alternatives. Pictures shows my favorite dish: crown of lamb (medium)
