Jim's has been around Bloomington/Normal for a very long time and few people remember it as the Brittany. The namesake of Jim's famous salad dressing. Had steak tonight the larger prime rib came with baked potato and a choice soup or the Brittany Salad (choose the name sake). Prices are steep so be prepared but it is a great experience fantastic service and a classy atmosphere - even though it is an old establishment and gives that old time feel - it is clean and fresh.

Stopped here with some business colleagues for dinner. Overall steak quality was good, but the salad bar and baked potato were only ok. Small potato being kept warm and over-done. salad bar had the basics. probably not worth the price.

My wife and I visited the Outback and was very pleased at how friendly the staff were when we walked into the restaurant. The manager opened the door and greeted us. It was a typical visit to the steakhouse from what we could remember. The food was decent and our server was on top of the drinks. I enjoyed the ribs and chicken platter with a baked potato- very good! I enjoyed the BBQ sauce on the ribs and chicken. My wife ordered the medallions well-done. Unfortunately the first round of meat was still pink. So it was taken back and within about 10 minutes her new medallions were at the table. Again, quick and friendly service. The second round was better but there was still pink in the second skewer she had so she didn't eat that. We also had to remind the server of a side dish that was forgotten. The quality of food was good, friendly staff, and a very clean restaurant. I would recommend this as a date night as it would be costly for a family.
