Went there as part of a large party, and the choice of food was good, suiting everyone. I had a salmon salad - the salmon was fine but ordinary, the salad very good. But overall the place felt a bit arid - big and echoing, possibly trying to hit middle ground between a restaurant and a beer hall, and not succeeding.

Having been to Argentina, we were looking forward to seeing how this restaurant compared. It was great, the buffett of side dishes was always kept full and the spites with the meats kept coming until we had to turn the little coasters from green ("Keep the food coming"!) to red ("Sorry, can't stuff myself anymore"!). And the crowd proved that this was not a one-time performance by the staff. It's a bit out of the city center, but the streetcar only takes 15 minutes and they run frequently in Augsburg.

Having traveled throughout Germany for several day, we were tired of German food and ready to try some good steaks. Problem being, the best meat is really from the USA , with New Zealand a second choice, so finding a good steak isn't easy. Prices are probably twice what you would pay for a typical German dinner, but as we found out well worth it. The dining room has an up style feel, formal but comfortable. There is also pleasant outside dinning. I was impressed with the beautiful set-up for the large communal table by the bar; it added nice atmosphere to the main area. The manager was very accommodating, professional and helpful to wait staff. Only minor complaint was that he spent an inordinate amount of his time with one "VIP" couple. It seems to me that regardless of who they are, all guests must be considered and treated like a VIP. Our waiter spoke perfect English, was able to explain the menu, answer questions, was very professional and did an excellent job.My husband order the starter of shrimp scampi; the presentation was amazing! It was a work of art! Such care and thought went into it with many delicious and different flavors coming through. Very impressive. We both had steaks; I had the ladies cut which was the perfect size for me. It wasn't as tender as US beef, but certainly excellent and tasteful. I had the spinach with feta/pine nuts side; also excellent! We both enjoyed our dinners. Definitely a fine dining experience, more expensive but well worth it. Recommended.

I used to go very often due to the large menu and the quality but nowadays the menu is smaller than before and the quality-price relation is decreasing for some dishes.Anyway if you wanna eat a good hamburguer (expensive one) this is the place

Visited here on a work trip.Table for 12 with multi national people. Common language was English and the waiter served us excellently in English. Food arrived promptly and correct for such a large table. Was very well cooked and good mat aswell.Only let down was when one asked for another drink he didn't take the chance to ask if anyone else wanted one so ended up just doing shuttle runs as people caught his attention. They even took the time to split the bill so we could get receipts.

This place is full of warm hospitality and a terrific local menu. Generous portion sized meals ensure that you don't leave hungry. We enjoyed the seasonal menu of white asparagus served with holllandaise and a side if viener schnitzels. The staff were friendly and happy to explain the menu to us. The restaurant was very busy and we made a booking, which is probably essential, they were turning folk away even though it was a Monday night
