I'd travel to Wenatchee in the dead of winter without snow tires JUST for these homemade pupusas. A grandmother is on the premises slapping the pupusas together (stuffed corn tortillas) to order. They arrive with special pupusa sauce, a mild salsa. There's also a bottle of the very hot stuff but it comes with a warning. It's very hot but not a lot of flavor. The pupusas are deeply flavorful, especially with the pork and cheese the way I ordered mine. Each one is around $2, but for a meal, go with three. They are accompanied by a small pickled cabbage and carrot (I think) salad.A delightful surprise was the fresh juices â orange, carrot, or both. I went with both, wishing it was colder. When I ordered empanadas stuffed with a sweet milk, I was told they were out. So I ordered a beef "stew" plate that comes with refried beans and rice, as well as thick unstuffed corn tortillas and a small foil full of chopped onion and cilantro â to go â for later. It, too, was very flavorful. It's just beef, fall-apart tender in a little beef sauce. The only downside was when a couple large parties arrived back to back. There's only one server who tends to everyone in the small dining room. She was very attentive when I arrived. But forgot about me as soon as the three families came in behind me, demanding her total attention. This place is cash-only, but worth it. Prices are ridiculously reasonable.

Just had lunch here for the first time. The salsa served with the chips is just excellent - fresh made along with a terrific bean dip, I had a gigantic chicken quesadilla and the chicken was fresh roasted not processed. The rest of the menu looks delicious and even at 2PM, it was nearly full in here!! Our server was great and the colorful decor is fun to look at. I'll be back with friends and family.

Living in Australia, it's really hard to find authentic Mexican food. This place is the real deal. I ate tamales, enchiladas, basically as much food as my stomach will allow. The decor and service is non-traditional, but the food makes up for it.
