Cozy place to eat lunch or dinner. We had a steak and some lamb ribs and the meat quality and cooking was perfect. I really recommend a dessert leche frita which is fantastic. Good value, clean and staff was polite and friendly.

It's been years since my husband and I spend our Xmas holidays in La Vall D'Arán and Era Canaula makes it so special that there's not any single day that we cannot have dinner at it. Faboulous and charming Marcos and the staff, worth the money and lovely cosy restaurant. We highly recommend it!

Too much snow falling stopped us from skiing in Baqueira so made a trip to find this place and were not disappointed. What looks like a small wine/food shop is also a great tapas bar. Tables at the back look out over the river. Excellent food, and selection of wines. Very friendly and helpful waitress, who helped ith menu translation. They also have a large selection of 'special' gin brands with an equally special range of tonic waters. Tell them what kind of Gin you'd like, fruity, citrus, dry, sweet, this list goes on and they will make your G&T at your table, it wil be the best G&T you will ever have had. Well worth a visit, we'd definitely go back.

Probably the best Spanish food I have eaten for a long time. Visited with friends and their young family and nothing was too much trouble. Service was attentive but not pressured with particular care to make sure the children were looked after. Unusual dishes, well prepared and presented and such good value! Will definitely be taking others there, even though it is a 2 hour drive away!

The restaurant has a great location and we sat overlooking the river. The staff were really helpful throughout and there are menus in Spanish, French and English. The food was traditional, simple and very tasty. We felt the value was pretty good - three courses plus wine 24⬠each. We enjoyed the meat cooked over the wood burner - and there was plenty of choice including fish or vegetarian plus usual meat joints, game and offal. Worth a visit - you will be well looked after and have a lovely meal.

We were a bit underwhelmed by the food in Era Coquela; perhaps we chose wrongly, or maybe our expectations were set too high after reading the Tripadvisor reviews. My starter was composed of tinned tuna, corn, anchovies and grated carrot over lettuce hearts. Not exactly what I expected and something I could prepare at home in 1-minute. I was hoping for something a bit more exotic (I was probably lead astray by the Google translated English menu). The lamb was perfectly cooked but had a lot of fat and gristle. My seabass main was nice, the ravioli good and the desserts (cheesecake and chocolate cake) decadent and generous. A bottle of very quaffable house wine, water and bread. All this for only â¬17 per person. Definitely a steal!Service is friendly and efficient. There is a huge variety on the set menu, with at least half a dozen options per course, although little for vegetarians. Overall we had an enjoyable meal which would have cost at least twice as much in the UK; just not as tasty and luxurious as I expected.

We were 4 of us having dinner here plus two babies. Service was great, the waiter was very friendly and professional. The food was very good, especially the bonito salad, croquetas and the lamb. The bread was really great, toasted and warm. Crema catalana was simply outstanding while tiramisu was good enough. The decoration is charming ; mind it it's. pretty warm in the restaurant. Why not 5 *? Just because one of the dishes was a too salty and it was one of the recommendations of the house.

We came with no expectations, the menu is in Spanish and our Spanish is non existent so muddled through but oh gosh what a fabulous place. Servings are generous ( and after a day of skiing that's what you're after obviously), the magret duck cooked to rare perfection, the rabbit grilled on point with garlic and oil, the chocolate dessert ummmmmm, yummmmm, the wine was exceptional value, in fact some wines on the list we recognised as being priced lower than in the wine shops. Traditional food done very well, this is a gem of a place and luckily for us we have 4 more nights here in Baquiera so we will return.
