Buffet restaurant for buses doing sacred valley daytours from Cuszo
After my trip to Machu Picchu and long walks for past few days, I wanted to pig out and eat good and big meal. I happen to hear about this place. For 25 soles, I have a huge lunch buffet. It is amazing. My tummy and my body is happy. The food is good and worth more than money spent. For 25 soles, this place rocks. I had a very happy meal for lunch.I highly recommend this place on your trip to Sacred Valley. There are many choices in the buffet. It is also good and big with the vegetarian options. The staff is friendly and very attentive.

Splitting a long drive, we pulled into La Casa with high hopes... The lodge is picturesque and quaint, decorated with meticulous attention to detail, in a lovely setting with well tended garden. Looks like a place one would want to book in for some R&R.Our group of 10 had the restaurant to ourselves at late lunchtime, however, the service was, at best, lackluster (I missed the eye rolling that caused some in our group to be less generous in their assessment). Of our soups and entrees, four were over salted to the point of inedibility. The 2 chicken breast entrees were so dry they should never have been served. (I wouldn't even have tried to use them for soup, and the hungry young athlete and big eaters with us who usually finished off everyone's meals couldn't/wouldn't/didn't eat them.) My alpaca steak was hardly recognizable: thin, grey and tough. The spaghetti with apple sauce two people ordered was missing the apples and tasted even weirder than it sounds (not something I'd have ordered, but said to be a classic dish). Three entrees were a hit, including the pork chops, which were very good. The purple corn drink was good, though getting the refill took some time. The bread was very good, but basket was never refilled despite requests (perhaps too many of us needed it- I don't usually eat bread, but did here). After the first and second course issues, no one ordered dessert. All in all, one of the least satisfying meals in country. On the up side, no one got sick.

This restaurant was a lunch stop on our tour of the Sacred Valley on the way from Cusco to Machu Pichu. It was in a glorious setting, lots of beautiful flowers and water features. The buffet was 50% vegetables and salads, 30% hot items and 20% desserts. The veggie dishes were all so fresh and cooked to perfection if they were not raw. The chicken salad was my favorite, and the tuna-stuffed tomatoes were great. There was alpaca to try if you hadn't already, chicken, rice and plenty of potatoes. I didn't have any of the hot items, but my husband tried the alpaca on his rice. The desserts were excellent, especially the fried sweet potato flour rings. They were served with maple syrup and tasted like funnel cakes. They also had a full bar if you wanted a drink with your meal. A local band also played for us, and they were very good. We bought their cd. The service was very good.

Peruvian food restaurant with mediterranean fusion. Daily menus for lunch and dinner.
The Quinsa restaurant is run by chef Alfredo and his wife Pamela. It is in the same grounds as the Flying Dog Hostel in Urubamba. We ate there 4 nights in a row and could not fault it as Alfredo is an excellent chef. Entre, main course and two bite size courses and a glass of chicha for 25S was excellent value. It's also great after a days activity in the sacred valley not to have to walk very far for dinner.

Comida peruana, tradicional, fusion, vegetariana. Bar completo, mesas altas con balcones y vista a la plaza.
Well, there are not a ton of fancier restaurants to dine at in Urubamba. This was recommended by our concierge. it was pretty good. The decor could use some work. I had âcuyâ several times in Peru, and this was the best one of all the various interpretations I tried. It came with this quinoa dish that was way too spicy for me, but my husband loved it. They had this excellent yucca flour cracker with the bread service that I never saw any place else but here in Peru. It came with some amazing herbed butter. The service was terrific. Reasonable prices.
