The good ambiance made this place a happening place a few years ago but now its tired and really needs some money in to it. The food is true Mexican and quiet good but nothing spectacular Not sure if I would go back.

This tourist-trap of a street is lined with sketchy shops and restaurants. We were very pleased to find Restaurante Chiki Jai, it's a real restaurant, clean and comfortable, with excellent food made to order. Not a taco joint - the food seems more Spanish than what we think of as stereotypical Mexican. We had two different fish dishes plus appetizers for a total of $22. Service is very friendly and attentive. It's at the corner of 7th.

A place that's located on the heart of Avenida Revolución in Tijuana. The restaurant is decorated with traditional Mexican motifs with a modern touch. The menu is great. We ordered the Tlayuda with tasajo and grasshoppers and it tastes very good, also the blue corn tacos are delicious. The drinks are yummy and very well presented. And the prices are good. I would recommend this place if you are looking to try something different and very Mexican.

This is usually the highlight and final destination of our "short daytrip experience" to Mexico when we walk across the border to bring friends and family that are visiting. Been coming back here for more than 20 years. Most first-timers are intimidated by the differences vs. US on the way here and walk up Revolution Ave., but being here and staying for an hour or more, communicating with the friendly english speaking staff, sipping down their wonderful margaritas and cervezas along with their great food usually does the trick and make them much more relaxed!! Get their taco platter? sorry, forgot the actual name, but basically it is "make your own tacos" and all the ingredients like pico de gallo, guacamole, cilantro, onions, rice, beans, and all kinds of meets, etc. are in small containers on a lazy suzan so you can share, and they provide you with endless corn and/or flour tortillas! Enough food for at least 3 people or more, I would say.Tip: No worries, they take US dollars and credit cards so no need for pesos.

I have eaten tacos in this place since I remember. My dad used to take us there for a late treat when coming back from a trip (My dad was a trucker). It is a clean, welcoming place where the charcoal and the meat sizzle endlessly during the day to the delight of the hundreds of people that have made El Poblano their favorite place to eat.The menú is simple: asada tacos, adobada tacos, and all the combinations from those two options, but you can order from one taco to the entire order, even if you are going to eat it there. The Mezquite charcoal gives the meat a very special flavor, and that added to the red salsa and the thick guacamole makes of these tacos the real deal. Visiting TJ? Come to El Poblano, you'll thank me.

Stopped there today on my way to my beautiful oceanfront condo in Rosarito. The two carne asada street tacos that I enjoyed were as good as any I've had anywhere in Baja. Can't wait to go back !

The place is really nice and confortable, service was excellent, very attentive waiters! The problem I had was that I ordered the prime rib and was expecting to be full after desert. Wrong! I had to order some extra entrees to fill up!Hoo! And before I forget, don't dare to order the paella, bad choice as it tastes like raw smelly fish. The tacos were good but I must say that are the smallest I have ever seen, 2 inch tacos. Price was not bad for the type of restaurant, hope they stop being so cheap and make fulfilling Mexican Spanish food as it should be.Desert was really good and served in a normal portion!

Great little restaurant, friendly, nice atmosphere and the food was fantastic! Oh- and they have Baja Brewing Company beer - including Razz - my new favorite beer. They even parked our cars for us. It's not hard to find using Google Maps. We started with the Black Harder - a halibut taco in squid ink - looked a little bit daunting in that ink but when we tasted it - wow - super delicious. Everyone ordered something different and we shared, ending up with one of the Experimental tacos topped with Chapulines (crispy fried crickets) - loved the crunch. Not one dud - can't wait to go back to try some more. PS- super reasonable

This is a restaurant that has grown and improved....it's very much like a European restaurant where at 1pm it's empty and by 1:20pm all the tables are full and the place is jumping. The food is Spanish with a Basque touch from the Navarre. Prices continue to be very affordable...a group of ten of us eating multiple dishes including dessert, corkage fees and tip for about 25 dollars per person. It now has a front, open patio, two main dining rooms downstairs (the bar is in one of them) and a third dining room upstairs. The owner is like a dervish...you see him everywhere checking up on the kitchen, bar, dining rooms, serving food, clearing tables, greeting guests, socializing with diners, etc. You can tell he's proud of his business and deservedly so.Food is served quite promptly (we were there for lunch and it attracts business folk who obviously need to eat in a time frame)...several tables of junior executive types, one table of six all female junior execs, several tables with men in suits, our family group of 10, etc. A very eclectic group of serious eaters being well-served throughout.Paella, not surprisingly, is one of the main attractions but so is the 'chamorro' (pork shank), the steak covered in grilled mushrooms and pimentos and the octopus Galicia style. Don't forget to check out the daily specials that are listed on a blackboard because they don't appear on the menu and the waiters don't always mention them. Some very tasty items are usually here and well worth trying out. (There was a rack of lamb today that looked delicious!) I had the octopus and the sweetbreads as my main courses and snacked on the mushrooms al ajillo, tortilla española and chistorra sausages...delicious all - the bread is real good too. Next time I plan to return and just have the bread, Serrano ham (which was the leanest I've seen and looked to be of the highest quality) and cheese and a glass of red wine! This restaurant is off the beaten track but still well worth a visit.

Cabanna Restaurant
Nice, upscale restaurant with excellent service. From small appetizers and drinks served while you wait (which was for a lesser amount of time than they said), to nice explanations of the menu, the service here was topnotch. The Cadillac Margarita was especially good and the meal choices were all well-prepared and fresh. All together, a very nice experience. I would definitely go there again.Thank you for your comment, it is very important to us to know our customer´s experience. We are pleased to know that you enjoyed the service, drinks and food. We hope to see you soon.
