Discovered this bar on a previous ski trip to Sierra Nevada a couple of years ago and just back from a recent trip - so visited again and it's even better. Me and a friend seemed to just end up finishing our evening in the bar - and easily to be distracted until late into the evening with the great choice of wine and as we discovered - specialist choice of gin.Great atmosphere and very welcoming, especially from the wonderful host Julia - despite our lack of Spanish - we were made to feel welcome by other groups and locals alike and spent a few very pleasant evenings there - why would we go anywhere else :)Will certainly be back on the next trip.

My wife and I were welcomed at an impromptu visit to this small restaurant. The food and service was excellent... So we returned the next day! We were not disappointed. Thank you to all the staff for their pleasant and kind attention to presenting two very good meals.

We came back from the vereda de la Estrella walk and stopped as we were hungry. I expected a snack bar and the surprise to find a gourmet restaurant at affordable price in this remote location was huge. Brilliant customer service, nice food and an attractive location. Well done!

After hiking the top we went for lunch in the village and chose La Visera. Dining outdoor at the terrace we had great view to the hills and to the summer activity centre. The food was very tasty. He had Pizza, Chicken fingers, burgers, nachos and chicken wings.

If you want something different from the âpizza/pasta everything is the same everywhereâ thing go here!!!!! Off the beaten track, worth the walk, not super pricey, staff are lovely.Onion bharjies were delicious! I went for Mexican fries even though I donât normally eat chips. Possibly the best fries Iâve eaten in years! The chilli was delicious too. Cut to mains....hubby had duck magret with gnocchi and blue cheese sauce, I had a beef burrito and asked if it was possible to spice it up. He winked and said yes. OMG it was alllllllllll good. The duck was so pink and the gnocchi so soft, even I, the blue cheese hater, loved it. The burrito was beef, very soft, with black beans, the spice was provided by 2 jars of sauce.... habanero hot sauce, and habanero sweet chilli sauce.....all Iâm going to say is HELL YES. We bought a jar of the sauce. Going home incredibly happy :)Thank you very much for your comment. We are very excited that you all enjoyed our dishes! From Swell we work every day trying our clients feel like home.We hope to see you again soon. Big hug!

Rock & Blues coffee-bar and sport bar. Hamburguers, finguers food, drinks. One of the best panoramic terrace in Sierra Nevada with fantastic views. Cocktails, desserts... Free wifi.
The Best service! Great view and sun later than "downtown"! We have come back several times and it is a perfect Pitstop if you are taking the stairs up the mountain. We actually took the stairs for this stop rather than taking the chair lift. Would recommend this anytime.

We stumbled on La Antorcha by mistake (we went in because our son thought it meant he would have access to the games room he saw next door, which turned out not to be connected) but had a great meal. The staff were welcoming and the food was excellent, although heavily meat-based. First up were some free sausage trees (!), featuring various different types of local sausage with bread and a salsa type sauce. The sausage was really good. We followed that up with various types of steak which we roasted on the hot stones at our table - a lot of fun for the kids, and fun to eat too (especially the tenderloin). The baked potatoes were the pick of the sides we chose, with an honourable mention for the padron peppers. Service was very good too. Overall, highly recommended.

It had been recommended by our hotel and we managed to get a large table for 7. We are definitely glad we went as both the fish and meat was excellent. A friendly owner, big menu and great meat left us all wanting more... but allas our bus was leaving. We will definitely come back...
