The morcilla was excellent - robust and not stodgy. The duck with mushroom (boletus) sauce was good, but the duck wasn't't as tender as it could have been. The partridge came with cold pickled vegetables, which was unusual. Service friendly and attentive.

El bueno es el restaurante. Un comedor acogedor para unas 40 personas y ambientación de pelÃcula. No solamente de El bueno, el feo y el malo, sino de otros filmes como Las Petroleras, por ejemplo.En la comida, a destacar los embutidos de la zona (espectacular cecina, chorizo y lomo y buen jamón). El queso no tanto, aunque estaba bueno no tanto como el resto.Cómo tenÃamos un menú concertado de de segundo tenÃamos carrilleras y bacalao. Personalmente, notable la carrillada y el bacalao como el queso del primero... No tan excelente, pero bueno.Los baños pequeños y la accesibilidad limitada para un lugar de referencia en Salas. Volveré si tengo ocasión.

The service we had was incredible and the food was interesting. I can't criticise the staff for this, we were your typical British holidaymakers expecting everybody to speak English. What we got was lovely and the options available looked amazing. But we struggled to order and this was entirely our fault.

Do not expect a fancy meal, just simple food well cocked at very reasonable prices. It is very well sighted, in the center of the beautiful village of Covarrubias. Staff is nice and efficient. I highly recommend to reserve a table previously as it is always full. Very popular amongst locals.

Nicely decorated. Stone and wooden beams. This is essentially a Spanish "asador" although they do have a "cupela" of traditional Spanish cider built into a wall.I believe they have a fairly extensive menu but when I go here it is for the meat.The meat is ordered by weight. It is first partially prepared over live coals, left very red, and served sliced. It is up to you to finish cooking it on a hot slab of iron placed over an alcohol burner. The system works very well. The slab of iron is thick and so maintains its heat.While they had perhaps 6 different types of salad, we just got the standard ensalada mixta. We also had chorizo en sidra (sausage cooked in cider). Both tasty.We just got the house wine, which was surprisingly good. From the Rioja. We didn't even touch the gaseosa!The bar/restaurant has tables out front as well as at the side of the building.Located approximately 45kms from Burgos along the road to Soria. The road is excellent.

In the middle of now where. Small village restaurante. Cider barrel with serve yourself a novelty!Basic dining room but welcoming. Friendly and efficient service. Starters include morcilla - very good, nice and spicy; chronic - good; boletus in sauce - fantastic!!!!We pre-ordered buey- has to be with 24 hours notice - definitely worth it. Tasty flavour some meat - ask for a hot stone as they bring it rare - as should be - but it gets cold quickly and needs a bit of warming. Wine list so so - with little / nothing from the local region. Food good - restaurant local and rustic. But worth it!

In between Burgos and Soria, a small town with a big religious history in the middle of beautiful countryside, mountains with Vultures floating overhead. Very popular with mushroom pickers. The meal we had was typical oven cooked goat and local wine. Very tasty and good value. Wholeheartedly recommend!

I usually order lamb. But I also order the sweetbreads and the baby lamb kidneys. Lovely oil, garlic, and parsley sauce. To die for. Decent wine selection. Small terrace out front if you want to have a gin tonic beforehand. A stone's throw from the Monasterio. Literally. Moderately priced, in my opinion.

Notre guide accompagnateur n'avait pu trouver que ce restaurant,situé un peu à l'écart de Silos, propre à accueillir un groupe de 26 personnes pour déjeuner.Nous en avons été les seuls clients,placés non dans la belle salle voûtée mais dans une autre avec un faux plafond.Le couvent était en ruines d'après les photos que nous avons vues.Il a été très bien restauré ce qui augmente d'autant plus la difficulté pour le contenu à soutenir la comparaison avec le contenant !!.Et le challenge n'a pas été rempli à nos yeux.L'accueil a été professionnel comme le service,le sourire du personnel semblant toutefois impropre à des lieux aussi caractérisés !!.Nous avons mangé correctement en qualité et en quantité mais le menu,très simple, à 23 ⬠tout compris,nous a semblé ne pas être à la hauteur de l'environnement.Et quitte à faire une autre comparaison,le repas n'était pas au niveau de celui,à 13 â¬,du restaurant Veracruz de Maderuelo,bénéficiant lui aussi d'un beau cadre quoique d'une autre nature.
