Highly enjoyable meal. Ours was based on fish/seafood with excellent starters of shellfish soup and octopus with romesco sauce, preceded by wrinkly potatoes, on the house. Main courses were local fish ('wreck fish', according to Wikipedia) in seafood sauce and leek tart. The latter wasn't quite on the button being covered in an oversweet tomato-based sauce, a day both mains could have been hotter. Excellent puds of lemon tart and milk fritter plus on really good and on the house grapefruit aguadiente. Very good value at â¬35 per person. Note that this place is well off the usual tourist routes and you'll need competent Spanish. But well worth it.

Our favourite restaurant on the island and our third visit in nine months, El Apendre definitely deserves the epithet âhidden gemâ situated close to the village of La Sorrueda high in the mountains about 50 minutes drive from Maspalomas. The drive up is nothing short of spectacular with stunning views back down to the coastline and the roads are excellent and well maintained. Head towards the regional town of Santa Lucia and then take left fork at the local white walled cemetery signposted to La Sorrueda and La Fortaleza. Follow the minor road down the hill, ignore a right hand sign to the village and you will see the restaurant ahead of you. Parking is opposite along the side of the road.Food here is simple tapas with a choice of meats veg and salad and very generously proportioned. The setting is divine with the majority of tables outside on a small shaded terrace with the smell of wood smoke and peaceful countryside all around. Lunch today consisted of a simple tuna and egg salad starter followed by pork chops, local sausage cooked with apples and dates and Canarian potatoes on the side. As always we ordered more than we could manage but thoroughly enjoyed everything we ate. The restaurant is run by what I assume is a husband and wife team. English is spoken enough to get by and they DO take credit cards, but this is definitely not your usual tourist fare. Including coffee and liqueurs total bill today was â¬35.Make sure you take a walk to the end of the track afterwards - lovely views over the valley will be your reward. An alternative route back to the motorway can take you via Cocodrilo Park a fabulous animal sanctuary about half an hour away to complete a wonderful day out in the mountains.

We were staying on holiday in the area and wanted to stay away from the usual overpriced tourist trap restaurants. Found this place on TripAdvisor and so glad we did, the best meal we have had all week. The family who run it are from Uruguay so they know how to cook meat! The parillada for 2 (mixed grill for 2) is excellent value for £28 euros and easily fed three, 2 thick entrecôte steaks, chorizo, chicken , pork and some further cuts of steak served with home made chips, salad and the most delicious home made chimichurri. The staff were also so friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is in the San Fernando area a few minutes after the market, so if you have a car get yourself over there you wonât regret it.Thank you very much for your opinion! We work a daily to get the best dishes we can and the joy that our customers value the quality of the food and our work! We are waiting for you at Candombe BAR! Much more than Uruguayan food! #MásQueComidaUruguaya

High selection and combination of Spanish Wine by the glass / bottle , Table of Iberic Cold cuts & Cheeses
This is one among few great places to find excellent food, wine and HOSPITALITY. When serving, Silvia also gives us information about the grape, the vineyard and the character of the wine. Mirco is the chef and he makes us taste wonderful cheeses, ham, carpaccio og tuna or meat, beside his own red pepper marmalade. This couple always makes the visit at Tintoroble, a visit into gourmet tastes, both food and wine, AND being so warm and friendly you feel as if you are staying in private surroundings, not at San Agustin Shopping Centre. We highly recommend TintoRoble, Silvia and Mirco

Restaurante Gorbea, is named after the highest mountain in the Basque Country, and is also the highest restaurant in the south of Gran Canaria. Located on the ninth floor of the main building, the restaurant provides spectacular views over the beach of Sa
Fabulous food that is so different from the normal hotel buffet served by excellent friendly staff and thankfully priced in a way to attract smart looking people. Food was beautifully presented, Tuna was just shown where the pan and therefore cooked to perfection. Smoked salmon salad was amazing and lunch was amazing too. Cocktails and drink at lunchtime and dinner were perfectly mixed. Not cheap but in a way that was OK. No kids, perfect. Definitely worth a visit if you want something different with fabulous views across the bay.Dear client,we would like to thank you for having chosen our Restaurant Gorbea to spend with us what it was a nice evening and also for having shared your review. Our restaurant is located in an historical village, we have a terrace for 50 customers and our main offer is food from the Canary Islands and many spanish dishes. We also have 6 wekkly specials and we include there many dishes from the chef trips around t
Firstly this restaurant refused to send me a menu in advance - apparently not company policy, which is ridiculous. So you take a risk that it offers food and cooking style that you may or may not like. Secondly the prices shown on the menu once you are there do not include tax (not made clear at all} so when you get the bill that is then added. Never had that from a reputable restaurant before. Thirdly they overcharged for a glass of wine hoping we wouldn't notice. The food is reasonable buit not exceptional and it is so annoying that they behave in this way. Consequently it does not deserve its' high ratings.

The BioCreperia is a vegetarian restaurant where the food is almost entirely prepared by hand. We offer a range of sweet and savoury crêpes as well as a tasty meal, which is always different, as we use fresh organic products that we grow ourselves in Acus
We werenât even sure that weâd find anywhere to eat on arrival in Arternara but we stumbled across two close to each other, but this little vegan restaurant flying prayer flags outside, really captured our imagination (and Iâm a full time meat eater!) They have a brilliant philosophy about using home grown and organic foods mostly sourced locally in the mountain top village. Everything is fresh, tasty and beautifully cooked. Ok thatâs a big claim for my first visit but I ordered two crepes, one tomato and local cheese and also a roasted banana, toffee & rum and both were mouth-wateringly scrummy! I also enjoyed a locally brewed craft beer which was wonderfully hoppy and served really cold, a gorgeous relief on this baking hot day.The owner was really friendly and extremely helpful and clearly passionate about the food and their approach. I was anxious that we waited so long to be served but there is definitely a laid back un-rushed atmosphere here and SO lovely to hear fluent Spanish everywhere unlike the horrendous English holiday atmosphere of Puerto Rico where we are staying. This restaurant is a gem of a place :-) Gracias!!!

As our daughter is a celiac, it's hard to find restaurant with Gluten Free food. We were very surprised at how many GF options has this restaurant and also how the staff is familiar with GF diet. We were totally happy and especially our daughter. Many thanks to whole staff at Bahia Grill, especially to Alejandro (or Alesandro).Peter, Jana, Emma and Anna.
