'Barato y correcto' is right, though I would go further. The 9⬠menu del dia lunch I ate was very much 'cocino casero', service was friendly & attentive, & though I was the sole tourist there the restaurant is popular with locals. Photos illustrate the food: simple, hearty, nourishing. Go elsewhere for fine dining, eat here for what Spain does so well.

Had a great experience here. Food was really tasty and served in large portions. They have alot of different plates to chose from and wonderful desserts! Also very cheap, 9euro for a menu del dia, worth every cent!

Very popular so at 3pm we had to wait 15 minutes for a table but they had a comfortable bar in which to wait. After a beer, we were shown to our table by the efficient, friendly, and happy staff. There were several starters and platos. I picked a salad that was delicious followed by lamb shanks. A good quantity of both was served and I was happy with both. We also had red wine with the meal. Total cost, 15 Euros each. I want point out what my friend had because it was very reminiscent of French cassoulet and could have easily cost $15 or more as a main dish in a restaurant at home. It was just a starter and it was called cocido montañes. A sort of stew of white beans, sausage, and other goodies. Very good!

We walked some distance to this bar because it listed "gluten free options". We asked what those were, the lady behind the counter said she would check with the kitchen. She came back some time later and said there were none. We left, hungry.

We stopped for lunch on our way North from Madrid. Very good lunch. Varied menu. And had a pleasant surprise while we waited for our food. Had four different dishes from the menu and all were excellent.

Restaurant located in the natural park of the river Ebro. We're open every day at lunch. Friday and Saturday we're open all day. July and August we're open all day.
We went here for our annual family meal, and it thought it was a real find. Friends of ours had been here on Christmas Day, and came back raving about it, and we'd had tapas and drinks in the bar before but never eaten there as we knew it was quite pricy (which it is). The location is fantastic, in an old traditional Cantabrian building overlooking the source of the river Ebro in Fontibre. It is beautifully restored and is very cosy inside, especially downstairs where there is a snug by the fire where you can have raciones and drinks. Upstairs is the dining area and again, it is beautifully decorated with high ceilings and if you get a window table, views over the river. The menu is really the classic upmarket Spanish menu, Starters, Fish and Meat, nothing unusual! But all very good quality and very tasty, everyone in our party was happy! It is somewhere we'd go back to on a special occasion, and probably for the raciones downstairs too.

Hay que ir a comer alguna de sus tortillas rellenas. Tienen gran variedad para escoger y baratas. Nosotros pedimos una vegetal. Respecto al servicio, la camarera que nos atendió muy maja.

Cena inmejorable, servicio excelente y atención personalizada. Un lugar muy recomendable ya que te pueden hacer un menú libre de alergenos con la mejor sonrisa

Octubre is one of the newest restaurants in Reinosa, and to be perfectly honest, when we first went there we (and friends) had good and bad experiences. However, we went back last week, and we were really impressed! There is no doubt it is a lovely buildling with great decor, a really nice place to eat, great friendly staff, and a really good variety of food, I had a delicious cod, and my other half had horse cutlets! Which were very tasty (horse meat is quite common in this area). The starters were also delicious, as was the pudding. We ate from a special menu as the town was in fiestas, 25 Euros per person, which was very reasonable indeed. If you're eating off the menu it is not cheap, but if you're sharing not so bad, and they do often have special menus and the like. Whereas before it had taken us a year or so to go back, we will definately be going back for a menu del dia or otherwise soon, I'm so glad we were impressed this time!
