Things to do in Punta del Hidalgo
Found this place on TripAdvisor & thought this would fit the bill.Only 10 minutes down the road unless of course you use Google Maps.20 minutes later we arrived in the busy little town of Tejina.Lovely little restaurant, obviously much loved by the owners, as it was squeaky clean.Usual language difficulties were overcome & we ended up with the most gorgeous pork cooked to perfection plus chips & veg, plus a well presented & tasty salad. It finished off a special day with the gorgyarse Mrs B.

Came here on recommendation of our Airbnb host. Great food and snacks of different styles all made fresh! Really hard to choose a favorite but if I have to... Try the croquettes! The cocktails are delicious too! The "baja boom" tastes awesome. The service is perfect and fitting the surrounding. Friendly easy people and a chilled mood!

Moderately priced restaurant serving local fresh seafood. Highly recommend the 'Choccos' (grilled cuttlefish) with coriander pesto - one of our favourites - accompanied by some 'Papas arrugado', literally meaning wrinkled potatoes, with an extra portion of Mojo (the aforementioned coriander pesto) to drizzle over.

It's not that easy to find as it's quite close to an apartment block and surrounded by other bars and copies. If you're lucky and you get a table by the white smalll fence you can see the sunset and have a really good local wine for 4euro 1/2 litre. We had sea food and the white wine was good.

The 'crayfish salad' was crab sticks with mayonnaise and iceberg lettuce. The bread was stale. Nice paella and good friendly service but on an island of mediocre restaurants this is very underwhelming in terms of food. Nice location and view though.

We are specialists in fresh fish and seafood. The Bar Restaurant CofradÃa de "La Punta" is located in a privileged coastal localion, next to the fishing port of La Hoya in Punta del Hidalgo (La Laguna, Tenerife, Canary Islands) . We offer a varied menu sp
As the day was nice we decided to search out this well-known fish restaurant in Punta del Hidalgo for lunch. The atmosphere is humble, plastic chairs, plastic tables and plastic table cloths but the view overlooking the sea gives it a special charm which is why it is very popular with locals. There was a great choice of fish dishes. We started with bread and aloli, followed by home made croquettes and fish churros with salad. The mixed fish platter included prawns, mussels, a choco, peppers accompanied by wrinkled potatoes were well cooked and the service was very good. Donât go here expecting to speak English this is a truly Canarian spot. 2 starters, 2 mains, 2 drinks and coffees were a very reasonable â¬20.We lingered over an enjoyable lunch for a long time and nobody seemed bother or wanted to rush us despite the place being very popular and busy.

As a local, I found this as a pleasant surprise. Local Canarian cuisine with a touch of originality. Rice is the speciality, and it's amazing. We tried the "arriz casero de la Punta" and we loved it. The dessert "quesillo" is presented as an ashtray with its cigarette, very original and delicious in taste. If you are not a fan of rice, the tapas will satisfy you. I recommend the papas negras,a real delicacy in here, also the arepas.

This really is exactly that kind of place you hope to come across on holiday; a restaurant without huge crowds but with incredibly good food, brilliantly friendly staff, and a wonderful atmosphere and view. The food varies weekly but was exceptionally well cooked and locally sourced. Don't think twice.

A quirky little restaurant, which is reminiscent of being in your grandmother's living room - a real gem for people who enjoy a slightly more unusual dining experience. The lamplight, patterned tablecloths, and music from days gone by all contributed to the creation of a lovely, cosy atmosphere. Great service (everything was delivered with humour and care), excellent food, and really good prices!
