Rent a boogie board or equipment to snorkel the coral and rocks. If Playa Manzanillo gets too crowded on a holiday weekend, catch one of the water taxis linking Puerto Escondido’s seven beaches. Hire a skiff to take the family sightseeing or dolphin and sea turtle viewing. Fish for trophy sailfish or catch a dinner of yellowfin tuna, mahi mahi (dorado), grouper, roosterfish, mackerel, or snapper. Watch the experts surf the 6-15 foot swells and hollow tubes of Playa Zicatela. International competitions in August and November draw the pros to demonstrate their prowess on the Mexican Pipeline. Snorkel or surf the clear shallow waters beneath the high cliffs surrounding Playa Carrizalillo. High red cliffs, housing, and hotels surround riptide-plagued Playa Bacocho, which is good for long romantic beach walks and sunsets. For more adventure, dive Pressure Point’s tectonic plate fault lines or Punta Colarada’s volcanic overhangs, ledges, and lava rock swimthroughs. If you are lucky you will see lobsters, stingrays, moray and snowflake eels, barracudas, yellow tangs, parrotfish, and puffers.

Went out last week with our family to the Donosti restaurante for Paella. We had been told that it was really good. We had the paella with lobster. It was great. The service was excellent, the atmosphere, everything you could ask for. Xavi was our waiter and he knew the menu front to back and was very helpful and professional. The reataurante had a singer doing old tunes while we ate. Very romantic, good music. I would recommend the Paella to anyone who likes seafood. We will be back for more.Rick

Los Primos's owner Javier really loves what he does and it shows. I had lunch at Los Primos many times and they had vegan options for me each time and they were DELICIOUS! The little taqueria is very close to the central market so you can stop by before or after your grocery shopping. It's a clean place with a friendly staff, free wifi and the owner speaks perfect english. Disfruta!

A quiet table, background music, under the stars ..... how can it get better than that? The food..... Disbaux , a little difficult to find, but worth the look. Excellent wine selection, too. We started with prawns in creme cheese and bacon , grilled, excellent choice. We both chose their fish meal, a Boba fish, served with a choice of sauces. My husband chose the 3 chillies, which he stated had a nice 'bite' to it. I chose the lemon sauce and was not disappointed. Their house specialty dishes I believe are their paellas.... which we will choose on our next visit. We finished our meal with a light gelato type dessert with fresh raspberries. No disappointments here. Believe it is a husband/wife mom/pop restaurant, service was great and the chef is very talented. Look this place up. As of this writing they are not prepared for credit cards, but working on it. Also open at 7 p.m. thursdays to saturdays and a special meal prepared 1 - 5 on sundays.Thanks so much Beachsearchers!

Nice taste of the traditional Oaxacan food,enjoy all these meals under the palm trees with a beautiful view.Manzanillo and Puerto Angelito can be very crowded on Mexican holidays or long weekends.We are coming back soon for more tasty Mexican food and cold drinks.There are two entrances one right through the parking lot and one more by calle del faro(lighthouse street)Thanks for everything and buen provecho!
