Picasso's Urban Tapas Bar serves typical Spanish Tapas with traditional recipes made from locally sourced produce, organic where possible & we also offer Vegetarian & Vegan options on our menu, everything is freshly made here on our premises. We make our
We dropped into this establishment on our first evening in Estepona, to avoid the hassle of cooking at home, and it was a very positive discovery â decent dishes, attentive if slightly slow (see below for details) service, and a very pleasant al fresco ambience in the small Plaza Joaquin Cortes. I think weâll be back. No, it was not the fastest serving of dinner we have ever experienced, but it was a very entertaining experience for all that, and the charming hostess Fay had every reason to be somewhat under the cosh: the place was already more or less full, and a dozen Germans had then dropped on her from a great height and were consuming conspicuous amounts of food and complicated drinks. For once, this was NOT a case of slack customer service: the poor waiting staff were burning rubber all night. Anyway, a full restaurant is always a fun human zoo, so we had no trouble passing the time before the arrival of our starters of prawn fritters (nicely done) and wild mushroom soup (delicious, and - according to my wife - containing enough garlic to stop a vampire at thirty paces). These were followed at a respectful distance by a fruity & nutty salad with goat cheese, and in my case by some lamb chops. The chops were as juicy and tender as you like, and otherwise excellent, though Iâd have probably used more rosemary, a bit less salt, and some of the garlic from the soup, but thatâs just me. A digestif was thrown our way (quite unnecessarily, really) for the âinconvenienceâ of having to wait while the bucolic Germans were attended to. The bill was very reasonable, encouraging us to go again. Actually, now I come to think of it, we HAVE to go back: I asked for a doggie bag for my left-over baby potatoes and stuffed red pepper, and in the confusion of our leaving, I clean forgot to take it! Recommended â might be worth booking, too.Thank you so much for your thoughtful review...YES...was a busy night and I just loved reading your descriptive review! Made me laugh! Yes, the Germans...were very thirsty and almost drank my bar dry! One round of drinks for the table emptied a whole bottle of gin or more! I must admit the next day I did have to take my shoes to get resoled.....so I can definitely say I certainly did literally burn rubber! Thank you for the lovely review will be a memory I will never forget! Hope to see you again soon! Doggie bag went to a good home woof woof! Fay

We stumbled across this restaurant looking for somewhere to eat for 8 people. The town was really busy but the waiter took time to sort a table for us. The food was amazing and really good value for money

We came here to celebrate our 18th wedding anniversary. On arrival, we were given an aperitif, but it was way too strong to drink. I had salmon for main which was overcooked but edible. My husband ordered sirloin steak - well done. When The steak came, it was red in the middle and the waiter (I think on of the owners) agreed it was medium. He offered another steak but after the wait my husband didn't want it. My husband told the waiter he didn't want to oay for his main. He said ok so we paid for our drinks and my meal. We were very disappointed not only with the meal but the service. Once we complained about the steak no waiters came near our table.

We have been coming to Duquesa for a few years but itâs the first time we have tried this excellent restaurant, WOW! Wish we had found it sooner. The food was first class, so good we returned twice more. Friendly service and great view across the port, also as itâs inside you donât get the interruption from the hawkers. The salt fish was wonderful. Definitely our new favourite

We stopped here for lunch as it was our last day in Spain. Normally we do the tapas from the bar, which are freshly made and delicious. However on this visit we shared a lovely mixed salad and lightly battered haddock, which came with some french fries. Everything was well presented and tasted excellent. Terrific value and in a great spot for people watching.

Has lots of regular visitors that also use the sun beds.Busy time at lunch from 2-4pm, plenty of shade. The owner my appear âformalâ but do not read too much into this. This is a decent place to visit.

Knowing the area from its early days, we were astound how much has been changed. We went for our well known favourite fish restaurant that apparently had been sold and transformed into a steak house. So we came at Delfines that really is worth as its excellent replacement. More sophisticated, with fabulous fish food quality and friendly service.

We ate lunch while making a paseo through Estepona.Service was sluggish throughout. The food was freshly cooked and tasted good but two points to note.First, the ensalada mixta was huge (an absolute mountain of lettuce) too big for two despite the waiters advice. We should have backed our hunch and ordered a media ración. The boquerones were really smallish sardinas. I wondered why they served them?Drinks were as ordered, though my tinto de verano had about the least amount of red wine in it that I've experienced. So, eat here if you've plenty of time and be relaxed about the match between what you order and what you get!
