Very well cooked high-quality food. I was surprised by excellent selection of breads and the service was very attentive. We were perfectly advised by the head waiter. We will return for sure.

It is a pity that their restaurant part is only open a couple of days a week though the bar serves tapas everyday. An evening meal (Friday and Saturday) will not break the bank and you'll leave well satisfied. We were lucky to find they had percebes which are a luxury followed by squid in its own ink. An excellent meal with Peter looking after us as if we were royalty. Well worth the visit. Try the octopus as they come from Galicia it is the authentic dish.

We chose Kaian after the other choices not being suitable. The service was good, but bears mark that the wait staff are new at the game. They do however compensate with effort. For dinner I chose the seafood soup and lamb stuffed with mushrooms and foie. Both dishes were excellent in taste, presented rather simply. The risotto was a bit lacking in taste. Prices are pretty good considering this is a few notches up the scale of the local restaurants.

The place has just gone through an upgrade, it looks now in between a bistro and a traditional restaurant. They have a good menu during weekdays at a very affordable price and you can go the extra mile during weekendsExtraordinary raw material (fish, sea food, steaks) cooked in a traditional manner.I would recommend it.

We spent a week in the area and nearly all restaurants have the same menu - this is no exception, no real salads, no vegetables with main course except green peppers and potatoes..... The bread in general is hard and tasteless. So, this restaurant is like a trip to 1940 - blue and whit walls, strip lighting, random nautical decoration. The locals seem to like it that way. Terrace was OK but we arrived late and were not allowed to eat there. When most of the fruit and veg sold in Europe is from Spain why is it that non of it gets onto the menus in the Basque country? Puddings... rice pudding, French toast, cheese cake - why not fruit salad, strawberries, pineapple???

February 12 to March 23 INCLUDED BOTH WILL BE CLOSED FOR HOLIDAYS. SORRY. We hope not to cause inconvenience and that in next date we see them here. As always, we will attend to you as you deserve so that you can enjoy some nice hours with us
Some of the best food around. Ask as sometimes they have something special such as sucking lamb or a besugo for four people and more. You can always ask for something special in advance from an alubiada to a shellfish grill. I've never been disappointed.
Top 10 Spanish food in Medina de Pomar, Province of Burgos, Spain

The food and presentation was unbelievable. Place is busy with outdoor music and vibe. We were almost 10 persons and a child and our needs were well accommodated. The seafood was excellent and I personally recommend the squid cooked with its own ink (photo included) and donât forget the desert. The mushroom shaped photo is more like a tiramisu which melted in my mouth.

Set in a maritime decor, this very basic little seafood restaurant can present some of the best seafood in the area. The Itxas Gane is a little pricier than its surrounding restaurants, but it is very much worth the extra cost. Fish is presented on the menu as it arrives daily, and by availability. The seafood bisque is upper world class and a very wise choice as an entree or as a main meal. In weekends, the place gets fully booked up to an week in advance so be early! Lunch time on work days is the easiest bet, but be early as it tends to fill up. A nice view and alos a favourite place of the local Athletic Bilbao football team players.

The Tamarises Izarra Restaurant is located on the 1st floor of the Tamarises building, and offers Basque cuisine in a bright and relaxed environment by the sea in Getxo.
What a marvelous restaurant! We visited Bilbao for a wedding which then held their reception at this really nice spot. Right on Bilbaoâs beach with gorgeous sunsets most nights, this restaurant excels in providing yummy, exquisite food. Over three days, we ate a late lunch and a dinner in the dining room, and then were treated to a 6-course feast at the wedding reception. Every meal, every item served was well prepared, presented nicely, and was wonderfully tasty. We are planning a cruise that will see us in Bilbao next spring and we WILL eat here again! If you have the option for a place to eat in the area surrounding Bilbao, choosing Tamarises Izarra will make you very happy!
