Reviews on Spanish food in Playa del Ingles, Maspalomas, Canary Islands. This big resort—the largest on Gran Canaria—was developed in the 1960s specifically as a tourist area. And all types of tourists have found it. LGBT travelers, families with kids, au naturel sunbathers, honeymooners, groups of young singles… there’s a spot for everybody on the beach here (and a hotel or apartment for every budget).

Shortys ist ein familiär geführtes Lokal, das viel Wert auf die angenehmen Dinge eines Lokal / Restaurantbesuches legt.
We visited Shortyâs after reading positive views on TA. As we are not experts when it comes to tapas we asked the waitress her advice on how much we needed to order for 2 persons which was fine. What we were a little disappointed with is we were not discouraged to order the aioli bread at â¬3.90 a pop even though most of the disses we had ordered came with bread included. I know it is only â¬3.90 but the bread was some slices of a cheap baton and a pot of aioli butter to spread on. Several of the dishes we had were simple and something that could be put together easily at home with little effort. Although most of what we ordered did taste fine they were all overpriced even by restaurant standards making a combination of dishes (Tapas) expensive, when ordering 7 for 2 persons to share as recommended by the waiting staff. The restaurant itself was nicely decorated and the staff friendly enough.Highlight...The orange potatoesLowlight....Gold plated bread and over inflated prices for simple dishesMany thanksShortys Team

Contemporary spanish cuisine in a pleasant atmosphere, cozy inside dinning room and panoramic terrace. We do not have children menu.
Had this restaurant recommended to us by two very friendly gentlemen on the beach boulevard. We were, at first, very enthustiastic by the whole setting.Very nice interior, tastefully designed, in a very welcoming simplicity. But when the food showed up....We were blown away!Best food since a very very long time!

Came here after seeing the reviews and being close to the hotel and was incredibly impressed. We usually find restaurants in tourist areas very hit or miss when going on holiday but I can honedtly say the meal myself and my partner had was one of the best we've ever had.The steaks were tender and cooked to perfection, and the fries were cooked just right. The garlic bread and onion rings were divine. The service was impeccable, and the complimentary appetiser and digestive were a nice touch.Would reccomend to anyone, and if I could give them more starts I would

We offer top Canarian cuisine with oriental touches and seasonal products. Our restaurant is a small, fresh and modern place with a vibrant changing seasonal menu paying great attention to details. We also highlight our great balanced wine list which incl
Visited this restaurant on our first night whilst staying at the Gold Hotel. The restaurant is a separate enterprise to the hotel but loved the set up and tables for Tapas fine dining. Started with a beautiful Gin cocktail and lovely Mahou Spanish beer. Young waiter explained dishes were to share. Looking at previous reviews we decided to order 3 dishes and the tasty homemade bread which came with lovely butter and tapenade spread. We had Salmon which was lovely thick slices on a nice mousse, Pork rib bao bun our favourite and Iberian pork shoulder. Great service probably too much checking on us until restaurant got busy and excellent wine recommendations overall not cheap but very authentic Spanish tapas. Always good sign when the restaurant is full of locals.

Off the beaten track within a complex but restaurant nicely set up with either inside or outside dining . Good service by staff. Nice wines and decantered before putting into glassNot an extensive menu which always bodes well as then the dishes provided should be quality.Forget about Roberts Review as the bread is a starter to be paid for with different home made breads in a bag . We were given a little free appetiser of a edible salted spoon with tuna and cheese which was a delight . Our starter was Grandmothers croquettes and Canadian Potatoes. Croquettes were cooked perfectly and were very light . Main meals were a Sirloin steak , but having asked for medium rare unfortunately it was more medium . Other was a rolled fish dish however vegetables must have been cooked in same dish as fish and sauce as they tasted too fishy and my girlfriend couldnât eat them . Desserts were death by chocolate and panacotta which were well presented and nice. Overall well worth a visit and for fine dining not ridiculously priced â¬88 for 3 courses and bottle of Rioja Reserva (â¬22)

We were staying on holiday in the area and wanted to stay away from the usual overpriced tourist trap restaurants. Found this place on TripAdvisor and so glad we did, the best meal we have had all week. The family who run it are from Uruguay so they know how to cook meat! The parillada for 2 (mixed grill for 2) is excellent value for £28 euros and easily fed three, 2 thick entrecôte steaks, chorizo, chicken , pork and some further cuts of steak served with home made chips, salad and the most delicious home made chimichurri. The staff were also so friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is in the San Fernando area a few minutes after the market, so if you have a car get yourself over there you wonât regret it.Thank you very much for your opinion! We work a daily to get the best dishes we can and the joy that our customers value the quality of the food and our work! We are waiting for you at Candombe BAR! Much more than Uruguayan food! #MásQueComidaUruguaya

Visited a number of times and sampled most of the menu- Steak La punta absolutely great, same with the simple steak, cod - you can ask for it to be just simply grilled- they are happy to adjust the cooking style when asked - and my favourite - octopus Galician style- just ask the chef to go easy on salt! Staff very friendly albeit their english is not that great so Google translate to the rescue! you can sunbathe and swim off the jetty- water is very clear! And finish with the "coullant"dessert! Very reasonable prices too!Thank u so much Bieska, hope to. See u again, best regards
