We live locally and always tend to go in our usual excellent restaurants, Polar &JM's. We have now decided to try all the rated Restaurants to give an open & honest review! Where do I start...Welcome, friendly and this hidden gem reminds me of a favourite place in the UK decor wise. The staff were brilliant from the off and although they worked out we were British continued in Spanish which was so refreshing for our learning.The food was beautiful and we were spoilt for choice, Karen had the fish stew and I had solomillo, both cooked to perfection with a shared garlic mushroom starter. The wine options were excellent and the ambience fantastic, how have we missed this place? Simple....location. Because it is not en route from car park to central Monforte it is a hidden delight, please take a right out of the car park and experience this great venue. Counting the days until our next visit !

Excelente lugar para comer o cenar, pena que sólo abre los sábados y los domingos. Su especialidad son anguilas, truchas, churrasco y bacalao a la brasa. Un trato inmejorable, buen servicio y ateción al cliente. La comida rica y abundante. La única pega que le pongo es que solo abre esos dos dÃas. Precio por medio por persona es entre 15â¬-25â¬

Cuando uno se sienta en este restaurante, la mirada carente de simpatÃa del responsable le hace a uno dudar. Es solo apariencia, equivocada. Pues cuando toma nota de lo que quieres comer, según le vas hablando, su rostro -que considerabas antipático- se va tornando en expresión de un fino sentido del humor, que va evidenciándose a medida que avanza la comida.Manjares que están riquÃsimos, entre otros: el pulpo y la ternera. Y el pan. Y cualquiera de los postres caseros. Y el vino recomendado de la zona. Y el café.Excelente relación precio-calidad.

Lovely staff, nice selection of wines and tapas, the usual Galician restaurant fayre. I would have given 4 stars for the bar but only 3 for the restaurant given the choice. What was on offer was cooked well but one tires of the same old same old wherever one goes.

I go there on regular bases and the food, service and atmosphere are always great. Quick service with a smile and great prices as well. Go in the evening for great meat. During the day for an ever changing menu

A sympathetically restored grand house surrounded by vast gardens, which can be explored at leisure. The food is wholesome traditional Gallego food but with a touch of refinement. The wines are excellent value. There are various dining rooms, some large enough for weddings, christenings but also small intimate rooms packed with antiques.The service is friendly and unhurried. If the weather is fine, there is also an outside terrace where one can eat under the shade of stunning wisteria.If a leisurely meal is your choice, the Rectoral is ideal.

I have been to Casa Antonio several times with friends. The food is superb. The service is great; there are 2 young ladies attending clients with great warmth. Maria makes delicious food and always have time to smile with the clients. You should definitely try the Flan de café, it is devilishly good. The price of meals are very good.

It's a nice place i like very much, everything is beautiful inside and outside. The food is good and well-decorated, even coffee with pictures ))) But the prises are enormous.There is also place for big parties like weddings, they serve very good.
