Traditional Dominican food just as you can have at your Typical Dominican household. The food is good, sometimes a bit greasy but the flavors and seasoning are on point. I love getting the beef stew with white rice and beans, with a small avocado salad on the side. Would recommend

I ordered the 1/2 Peruvian Style chicken with yellow rice and black beans to go from the counter. Service was super fast but the chicken - compared with other Peruvian Style chicken I've had at other locations - was merely passable. It wasn't particularly juicy or flavourful - and the white meat was actually pretty dry , the rice was rather gummy and the beans were swimming in water -straight from the can? You can't really complain when a passable dinner is only about 10$ - but maybe for 15$ they could have done something to make you WANT to come back? It seemed like there was no effort coming from the kitchen - make something halfway decent and maybe they'll come back since there aren't that many other options in the immediate area - seemed the philosophy. In fact there ARE other options so they need to get their game up .

The food was VERY good. We split tapas after having a tough time choosing as there were many appealing options. Mac n cheese with shrimp and clams was delicious, plantain nachos were excellent, and cheese and asparagus was very good. Seafood paella entree was excellent but a small portion for $26! Drinks were inventive and the short wine list has basic options. I recommend the Tempranillo although wines were priced higher than expected (even for Restaurant mark ups).Service was excellent, we've never been made more welcome. Our server, Danny, was great! He was friendly, personable, knowledgeable and seemed to be a genuinely nice guy. Other staff were also pleasant and helpful and practically fell over each other to thank us for coming. Why only 4/5? The price, frankly. I know good food with good ingredients isn't cheap but small portion tapas ranged from &12-$15 each. Too much money for the plantains, the small mac n cheese and absurd for eight spears of asparagus with garlic and some melted cheese. We didn't have dessert.Restaurant has free parking, nice decor and is only three minutes off the Belt Parkway on Cross Bay Boulevard.Again, food and service were great, but if portion sizes don't increase to match prices, or prices don't come down a little we will only visit occasionally after payday :).
Their chicken is tasty and not dry. Food is affordable and delicious. Looks small but people are friendly. They even know my sons name.

My entire dining experience was fantastic! The ambiance to the excellent customer service & scrumptious food I must say this restaurant is A1. Our server Diego was truly the personification of class & professionalism, nothing was to big a task and his dining choices were on point! I had the red snapper which was nothing short of delicious along with the turmeric rice and black beans, I also tried the steak which was . Would I return definitely, would I recommend ABSOLUTELY!!
