Good restaurant with good service, a tossup with the Planeta. Good to try both.

Popped in for a snack and ended up with tapas heaven. Sat down and before even ordering we had slice of crusty bread with a thin slice of ham. Then we ordered and were given fried egg, with chips, bread and a slice of chorizo. Then we had our order which was scrambled egg with prawns and turnip tops which was amazing. All washed down with a glass of wine. Fantastic

My wife and I had the menú del dia, which cost 12 euros during the week. We started with mussels, an enormous dish enough for four people. I have never eaten so many mussels in my life. After came a spicy pork dish called zorza, which was delicious. We had bread and water and finished with a very good flan. Excellent value for a moderate price.

Though I rank the place average, it is probably still amongst the top 3 I would recommend in Ortiguera town; you need to go in the villages around to find better. Good varied choice of dishes & appetizers on the menu, from Hamburger (not on the menu, it's always worth to chat with the waiter...), over fish, meat and paella. Price quality location ratio is average. The paella at â¬20 per person pricy for a paella with just mussels and gambas (no fish). Russian salad as free appetizer while waiting (40') for the paella was delicious. The quality of the food is excellent, the very large paella was very good; the fries were soft, but probably from fresh potatoes; the waiter friendly and very helpful. Restaurant in the back of the bar a little quieter than the rest of the location.

After some very disappointing eating experiences on this tour of northern Spain we were recommended this restaurant by our host and somehow managed to walk in and get a table for two on an otherwise fully booked Saturday night..please don't try this, book to ensure you are not disappointed. The restaurant is new, very modern in an 'industrial/Scandinavian' themed decor and staffed by very young, enthusiastic and very well trained staff. The menu is (thankfully) small (5 starters, 4 fish courses, 4 meat/veg and 4 desserts) and had we been staying longer in this area I would have willingly revisited on consecutive nights to try the lot! Ours were freshly cooked, piping hot and absolutely delicious. Get as many as you can to share and don't forget to save room for the amazing desserts! And having paid a lot more for significantly less, the bill was also a treat!

Been to this restaurant on three different occasions and was absolutely pleased each time . The food was prepared with utmost attention to every detail .. From flavorful seafood like locally caught calamari and fish to exceptional beef dishes. Portions were generous and the staff was attentive and friendly each time. The dessert met every expectation. This family friendly restaurant is a true treasure to be appreciated by all . We will definitely be eating here in the future . AAA+++
Top 10 Spanish food in Medina de Pomar, Province of Burgos, Spain

A friend recommended this restaurant and we spent almost three hours there eating good food, drinking a great Galician wine (MencÃa) and having a good conversation. The place is really calm we ate outside at the terrace, also very quiet (no main roads very close). The beach is really close so itâs perfect for the summer time. No modern cuisine, 100% Galician tradition: top ingredients & good portions. Tough this restaurant itâs very well-known for the good quality of the meat (the steak was tasty), the fish and the sea food were also delicious.

A family run restaurant - don't be deceived by its bar like appearance ! The dinning area is in the back. A local gem it's the owners wife Mari that does the cooking. Great food and look out for the menu de dia offers- I highly recommend Rio Sor.
