This is one of those restaurants which becomes a must when visiting this area. There are a few very well (and maybe world) known, and this should be part of this pocket. Location I found particularly good. The old nice square in the oldtown of the village is well introducing to the art of traditional catalan recipes. The fillet we chose were exceptoonally well prepared. These were served together with its cooking stone. The delicated little griddle bringing the meat to the final point (moving around the chosen rare or 'sanglant'). But it was just one of the main courses no f the weekend menu. The the one of the month was looking like even more sophisticated, and still a 3td one based on interesting seafood and shelfs.By the way, do not forget to take the personal version of the home made tiramisu.Purely excellent.

This area has some lovely countryside and on a weekend jaunt out of Barcelona we saw this restaurant sign posted on the road. Had a lovely weekend menu very reasonably priced with a tasty trinxat starter nicely presented and a rather large steak cooked on the grill with delicious artichokes, my husband had home cook cannalonies and the rabbit. Good place for large groups and families with children as there is a large grass play area with swings etc outside. Wrap up warm in the winter as the restaurant is not the warmest! We will definitely be back again in the Spring!

Restaurant Rubell is a Fonda located in the little town of Monistrol de Calders (30 km far from Manresa). It is a typical and rustic restaurant, where you can eat catalan and mediterranean dishes, which our parents and grandparents eat. Moreover, it is possible to do a degustation menu (55 euros), in which waiters bring all dishes that you can eat. This menu is great in quality and quantity, and the relation quality-quantity/price is excellent. We tasted the following dishes: oysters, anchovies, lobster salad, mushroom cannelloni, squids (calamars a la romana in catalan), grilled seafood, foie, hake, grilled meat with foie, crispy trotters (peus de porc cruixents in catalan), croquettes of ham and fish, cuttlefish (xipirons in catalan). All were first quality (and quantity). The dessert was pineapple, catalan ice-cream (gelat de crema catalana in catalan) and egg custard (flam d'ou in catalan). Moreover, we could drink two different wines of wine appelation "Pla de Bages" of the center of Catalonia. One wine was white (Abadal Picapoll) and the other one was red (Murallius 2011). Excellents! The staff and owners were very friendly, there is a very familiar atmosphere, in fact you feel like home! Moreover, you can order more dishes if you can taste them (or you still hungry) and the price does not change.Great! Amazing restaurant in the center of Catalonia!
All restaurants were closed on Wednesday and certainly after 21:00 in summer!!! So much for late diner. We found a little gem in the Centre of Moia with great gems serving us. Good honest food for a suitable price in a friendly ambiance. Nice beers on offering and a great ecological red wine. Fresh crunchy fries and good burgers. The vegetarian dishes were delightful. Tapas were lovely. Typical family style restaurant which deserves more credit than 9th out of 11 restaurants on TripAdvisor!!!

We decided to go to Blat yesterday for food , the food was good but the service was terrible 40inutes waiting for dessert menus ! When the waiter /manager came with the menus he further insulted me by asking if I needed an English menu , as 3 of the 4 diners were native speakers there was no need . when it came to paying the bill we were left standing at the counter for 10 minutes while he repeated the different food we had 4 starters 3 pizzas , 2 deserts , 1 coffee over and over . I would not dine here again ! Food good , service very poor !

We ate here for saturday Lunch, two families with kids. They have a interesting menu at reasonable price of 12â¬, with severa choices for entry and Main dish, including some local specialities. Local is nice and confortable, and staff is very friendly and helpful. One small advise, It could be nice to have a clearer menu for children, as i they order two dishes price is same as adults.

Nice Masia (Catalan farm) with various lounges. Good Catalan food and very nice waiters. Average price. There is a menu and a la carte. Barbecued meat, vegetables and fish. good choice of Catalan dishes. And good deserts. If I am in that area again I would repeat. We were a group of 13 and reserved a 26 closed menu. But there is cheaper.

Old bulding from 1860's, especialized in barbacue meat and traditional Catalan food, long table restaurant with good and generous food like small town traditions. Good to have breakfast and good capacity for large events.
This a great restaurant with a fantastic feel about it. Not the usual with a sort or urban/modern atmosphere yet set in an old building. Dining is refectory style joining others at long tables, but don't worry you are not crowded in and the tables are huge. They offer a menu du jour; aperitif, olives and bread, followed by meats with salad and vegetables of your choice, wine and coffee. Excellent value at 10.50⬠per head. So good we are going back today and have booked for our last night in Spain. Very pleasant staff speak good English, helpful and informative and we were allowed to sneak in our little dog who they kindly provided with a dish of water (not usual in Spain). Highly recommended.
