Nothing special to write home about, but Hacienda Sausa has been turning out good, reliable Mexican food for years. Food is very flavorful, but is more in light with your typical "combination plate joint" than a more authentic Mexican dining experience. Still, if you're in the area and having a craving for some good Mex, it's worth checking out.

Iâm sorry to say that having eaten really good tapas I canât find much of a resemblance between them and what we were offered at the Iron Vine. The empanadas were heavily fried, the taste of the croquetas de chorizo was also overwhelmed by the fried exterior, and the sangria was pretty awful. For sure it was not made with fresh fruit as it should be, and it was very expensive at $40 a carafe. There was also a kind of moldy smell to the restaurant, like in a summer camp that hasnât been aired out. However, our waitress was cheerful and kind and there were plenty of happy people there, so this kind of food is obviously pleasing to some.

The flame broiled churrasco, 8 oz. skirt steak, was cooked to perfection $12.99. The sides of tostones and a large fresh green salad were two selections made to accompany the entree. My sister had a 1/2 chicken, $11.49, with salsa stuffing and green salad. The salsa stuffing was amazing with sausage, bacon, bread and spices. It's at a small restaurant at strip mall. Menu is extensive. Very clean and modern with a Caribbean flair serving Puerto Rican fare. Order at the desk and your food is delivered to your table.

This restaurant came up on a list of Ecuadorian restaurants. We stopped, not knowing what to expect. There is a seating area, but its more lunch oriented (not relaxing looking) and a large TV on the wall, so we opted not to stay for dinner. There are a series of photo drawings high on the wall with Spanish labels and a hot table. We looked confused (and were) so the server handed us a take out menu. The meals listed sounded great but were all in the $12-$15 range. Lots of shrimp and fish. There were no plantains visible and I gathered that they were available, however the server did not undertstand when I asked how long it would take (I was not sure if they needed to be cooked.) So passed on the plantains. We were holding up the line so just pointed to chicken and rice. She heaped up a take out container so full that we opted to just stop with one. It came to only $8.50 and was enough for two of us. And it was tender and great. I will have no hesitancy in going back, and may even try to get some of the other things on the menu. We did not see any green vegetables or salad but they may have something for a vegetarian but this probably is not the best place if you are not a meat eater. The staff were sweet but either they spoke less English than I spoke Spanish or it was just the loud TV that hampered our communications. Language does not matter when the food is good. There is a parking lot with room for maybe 4 cars. Street parking is difficult.
