As you come in the door you can see the massive charcoal grill and the chef butchering meat. I ordered the small Chuleta and my girlfriend asked for a fish recommendation as we saw fresh fish being unloaded when we arrived. Needless to say both the beef and the fish were exceptional!

In der Pulperia gibt es nicht nur ausgezeichneten zarten Pulpo a feira, sondern auch leckere und in reichlicher Menge servierte Pimientos de Padron. Dazu passt ein weisser Vino de Casa, von der Camerera empfohlen. Zuvorkommender sehr aufmerksamer Service. Gemütliches Plätzlein am Kaminofen für halbverfrorene Pilger.

We had a good experience at this restaurant. The food was nice, above all the seafood we could order. Typical Galician restaurant in Melide. Good quality-price relationship. Nice though small terrace where we had a fine wine and a good octopus helping. We found the service a little bit harsh, not really sympathetic with us. Despite this point, the restaurant is 100% advisable. Won't be disappoited!

Our restaurant is known in the area thanks to our family and close relationship with our customers, ideal to regain strength with typical products of the region, with 250 people place so our restaurant is an ideal place for holding any type of banquet.
We were walking the Camino de Santiago. Our Hostel host recommended Sony. From the moment we arrived we were warmly received. Beautiful red wine and local appetisers were brought to us. Then we got the salad. this was followed by a variety of meats and fish which were presented beautifully. It was the most memorable dinner on the Camino. We were served lovely deserts which were prepared to a very high standard.

Old stone house located in melide, inside the historic town centre. We have four dining rooms: vintage, main, private 20pax and private for 10 pax. Plus a cafeteria and terrace. Galician and Spanish with touches of signature cuisine, specialising in fresh
I don't get it why places serve crap 'Americanised' food on their tourist menus. This was not the case here!We were recommended to go here by the shop assistant of a great wine shop (across road from them). We just wanted somewhere that served good wine.As it turned out they did a tourist menu and thought what the heck, why not, here now and been eating pardon peppers every night!!!Was worried when the table next to us received their spaghetti with cream cheese sauce. OMG!Couldn't read the hand written daily menu so waitress took it to someone to translate (5 entrees & 3 mains). We had beans with clams & stuffed cabbage, then lamb neck & fish. Coffee custard for dessert was great also. I must say they didn't look great but tasted amazing & FRESH! The lesson here to tourist restaurants is keep it small, seasonal and local and you'll still keep the food cost down and rid the concept of all poor tourist menus. Well done Recuncho do Convento.

Everywhere we asked, localâs said âmake sure to stop at Ezequielâs place; a generations old pulperÃa.â My family and I followed this advice and had great mixed salad, boiled potatoes and pulpo. Make sure you try the flan and great coffee. The house wine you can do without.

The pulpo was tasty, but the restaurant was also a bit pricey. In addition to pulpo, we tried a few other dishes, and everything did taste good. But again, the prices were high for Spain. Regardless, service was quick and efficient, and the restaurant was large and could handle large groups of people. Worth the visit if youâre walking the Camino.

Totally agree with previous reviewsSuperbly executed dishes created with passion by Miguel ( the chef who spoke to us after our meal). Divine Navajas, Mouth watering desserts but for me the highlight was the sublime Galician Beef. Laid back ambience but with attentive service. If you are in Melide, I highly recommend dining here. The restaurant also has accomadation which my friends & I stayed overnight during our Camino. Spotlessly clean & well appointed.Thank you Miguel & the Team.

We loved this little restaurant. The chef was great to accommodate a change to the menu for us and grilled the octopus instead of serving it boiled. The scallops were phenomenal and the staff couldn't have been nicer to some pilgrims on the Camino. I would absolutely come here again to try more things! Thanks for a great evening!
