Dating from 1917, the Hotel España is in the centre of Lanjaron. Great effort has been made to recreate the atmosphere of the period and the restaurant pays homage to one of the hotels most famous visitors, Frederico Garcia Lorca, with letters, photos and pictures adorning the walls. The restaurant was full on the day we visited, the service was professional and friendly, and the food was served in a timely manner. The restaurant offers a menu del dia for 10⬠(which I understand changes daily) and also a good a la carte menu which is also great value for money. All the desserts are home made. The wine list is good and also reasonably priced. There were four of us in our party and we all enjoyed our meals in the charming restaurant. There is also an outside terrace on the Avenida Alpujarra, should you prefer to dine outdoors. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal nd would have no hesitation in recommending the restaurant. Great value for money.

After a long walk we headed back to town and fell into the welcoming outside seats of this bar. The beer was cold and refreshing and the tapas great, staff were friendly, an all round good Spanish bar :-)

Café bar con zona chill out , cocina fusión tradicional mediterránea y carnes a la parrilla , deliciosas tapas y cocktails en un ambiente juvenil y dinámico
I totally recommend La Terraza Lanjaron. We saw through to the terrace from the main road and thought it worth a try. The layout is spacious, a great atmosphere, some pleasant background music and very polite and friendly staff. The food was very good indeed - well priced and lots of options. The fish was cooked perfectly and the desserts were very pleasant also; the brownie was just the right size and the dulce de leche cheesecake rich and smooth. The prices, for the setting, the service and the food quality, were very good indeed!Iâll definitely be returning!!

We found this place in the tripadvisor-listing and went here for dinner. The complementary tapas were nice and there was a menu section dedicated to small bites/snacks. We opted for a plate of croquettes and fries to share. The staff was friendly, welcoming and willing to listen to our struggling spanish. There were also a lot of locals which gave the place a "neighbourhood"-feel. The food was tasty although not really unique. Prices were reasonable/good (about â¬20 for four drinks and shared-food). The setting was OK but had no definite plus points either. Recommendation for casual eating-out.

We like to go there for dinner. Always good food and service. My favorites are "morcilla" (Spanish blood sausage) and "berenjenas" (aubergine) and of course "antrecote de ternera" (beef steak). The restaurant has mineral water spring at the entrance and you can park your car near the restaurant. If you come with kids there is a playground.

We ate here three times on our trip, twice for supper and once for afternoon chocolate and doughnuts. We tried squid and also the Spanish meat/egg combo platter that's popular around here. And the SPanish cheesecake! Everything was very yummy. The squid, which I ordered grilled, was super-tender and tasty.Just loved our server, a bearded gentleman with the best sense of humour. He gave us free shots of a licorice liquor the first night we were here, and shared several jokes with us. A really nice man who made us feel very welcome and also helped me increase my limited Spanish vocabulary. We enjoyed our afternoon stop for doughnuts, too. Place is full of locals. Worth a stop!

We visit Lanjaron every year and Bodega never disappoints us. The food is delicious. The wines by the glass are also fabulous. In traditional AndalucÃa style, Tapas is served with each alcoholic drink purchased. Staff are always very friendly and attentive. It would be one if the more expensive places to eat in Lanjaron (comparatively so... itâs still very reasonably priced) but is absolutely worth every penny.

Family Country Hotel located in Lanjaron, Gate of the Alpujarra, inside of the Natural Park of Sierra Nevada. With 60 years of experience, heritage and art come together to create a unique fusion. Among others, we have spa & pool, botanical garden, gazebo
Nice comfortable restaurant below a rustic Spanish hotel. Food order fried to be taken before drinks were ordered, no wine recommendations just a list with no descriptions. Bread given but no butter, just some dry olives and what I presume was homemade hummus. No starters on the menu just sharing ones and then there is only 3 of them. Main course was very limited also, 3 of us had steak and the 4th lamb. The steak was very tough and was served with shredded fried potatoes, lambs tongue lettuce, rubbery mushrooms and very aldente carrots. The lamb looked good but had to be sent back as it wasnât cooked in the middle, when it came back it looked like it had been attacked by a chainsaw. Didnât eat it but still got charged for it. Deserts were homemade and very nice. â¬170 for 4 people was a tad dear compared to what you can get if you look around. Top marks for the restaurant though, nice ambience just very expensive and not of the quality that it thinks it is.

Following a recommendation to stop at Lanjaron on the way to Granada I found this place by accident. Great ham selection. Would have tried more glasses of wine (and complimentary tapas) if I wasn't driving. Thank you very much for your comment. Next time come without a car to taste the wine better. We work every day to keep improving.

This restaurent is worth visiting for the building alone, a great piece of modern design. Fortunately the food is very good as well and the prices are quite reasonable. We shared the berenjenas con miel as a starter, more than sufficient for two and I had tuna and my wife had the salmon. ¡Muchas gracias!
