Lovely old bar just behind the church. Very simple decor. Food is excellent the menu del dia is excellent value around â¬8 for a three course meal including bread and a glass of tinto. Very friendly service and mainly Spanish eating there. Always my barometer for quality traditional food! Recommended for a great lunch.

Situated within the Victoria Hotel at the same address. Tel. no. is: 922.33.16.83
The atmosphere of the restaurant is lovely in a large courtyard. The staff are very attentive and friendly and the food is presented with some style.Unfortunately the food doesn't quite meet the expectations,I had a fillet steak which was slightly tough and tasteless served with lots of cold apple sauce and cold gratinated potatoes. My husband had stuffed chicken which was tasty but didn't have anything served with it.The lunch time menu of the day looks to be very good value at â¬10.90 for three courses but we didn't try it.

Found restaurant by accident on way from visiting El Tiede. It is on the road to Puerto de la Cruz from Mount Tiede. 1st a very welcoming entry, Juan the front of house realized we didn't speak great Spanish so went through every course on the menu in English for us and in great detail. Thanks Juan Ordered Tataki red tuna to share which was fabulous and unexpected on the menu, as is seemed a typical Spanish Bodega. Then for main, wild mushroom risotto and Rabo de Torro, (Ox tail) both were delicious. Highly recommended making the journey as it is definitely worth it. At very reasonable prices. All this 4 glasses of wine, 2 soft drinks and coffee â¬68. 5*.

Haydee is the result of experience in the kitchens of the Suarez brothers. Victor, who has cooked with the greats of world cuisine (MartÃn Berasategui and Ferran Adriá)and Laura formed in one of the world's best culinary schools "Le Gordon Blue". Vanguard
The menu at Tasca la Haydee is a wonderful fusion of Canaraian and Asian food. As a an aperitif they brought us a Bloody Mary jelly and a selection of beautiful breads with a variety of butters and oil. To follow we shared a Bao Bun Stuffed with Soft Shell Crab. For the main course I had a wonderful mushroom risotto with Parmesan and John had the fried eggs with black sausage. For desert we shared a Trilogy of Raspberries. The meal was accompanied by a local red wine -TajinasteApparently they will be moving their location in February 2019 to what used to be restaurant LâArena 53, off of the Santa Cruz motorway. We highly recommend this restaurant. Worthy of a Michelin Star but at very reasonable prices.Thank you so much for your extremely kind words, Sally. We are extremely happy to hear that you enjoyed our cuisine as much as you did. Will be moving inf late February any new information will be updated via our social media channels.Once againg, thanks for your support. Best

We are on the road up to the Teide National Park and overlooking the Valley of La Orotava. Restaurant of traditional Canarian and international food, specialists in picoteo menus and grilled meats. All our menu is gluten free and competitively priced.
We went there for a very late lunch after we visited Pinolere 2017 based on TripAdvisor reviews. We wanted something authentic and we had it.I was impressed with the staff: even they spoke very little English and we speak very little Spanish, they made every effort to communicate (they even wanted to use Google Translate). They serve bread without gluten, a big plus in my opinion. The choice of the menu is not very big, but the food was good and very cheap (the soup of the day was 1.25 euros, the cheapest I found on the island). The desserts were home-made and very good. They let us stay one hour after the closing time (they didn't tell us anything) while they were eating dinner on the ground floor.

Rediscover the world of hamburgers in our Canarian and international gourmet fusion burger and enjoy our table games and cocktail service. Eat the world!
We had a wonderful lunch at this tucked away gourmet burger restaurant in the hills above la orotava. It is certainly worth the trip as the selection is varied and unusual. Apart from the plain burger with wedges for my youngest, we had the oishii burger, which blended the succulent patty with American cheese, pickles and a mango ketchup and the other was a Thai inspired burger with wasabi cream cheese and vegetable tempura. All were served with crispy wedges and with drinks for all the bill only came to 22 euros.

Having spent the morning at the volcano we were hungry for lunch on the way back found this place via TripAdvisor, And wasnât disappointed. We were the only English people in the restaurant and thereâs only about five tables so had to wait. Although they spoke limited English they had a tablet that displayed the dishes they were offering, traditional Canarian cuisine. We opted for the rabbit and pork and werent disappointed. Reasonable price and the owner Was very friendly. My tip is to have ice cream or cake at the bakery just up the hill from the church after.

We discovered this restaurant by chance while walking around Orotava and it was a great surprise. We were impressed by the cozy, welcoming environment and pleasantly surprised by the very friendly service, always ready to answer questions and offer a nice experience. Additionally, the restaurant displays a very up-to-date decoration with personal touches that make you feel warm and comfortable, like at home. Dabeke would appeal to the so-called foodies and those searching for a reasonably priced yet real gastronomic experience. The quality of the food is also surprising, as it seems to have been very carefully and respectfully manipulated. I would totally recommend the âCevicheâ, which varies daily according to the fish market, the âCarrillera de cerdo ibericoâ (Iberian pork cheeks -served with green curry sauce)so soft it melts in your mouth, and their perfectly creamy âRisottoâ. Also, if you get the chance, you should take a look at their wine menu because itâs excellent value for money. I would totally recommend you to give it a try. You wonât be disappointed!!

Mama Nena: food to share by Hermanos Suárez.
Haydee has moved up the road, Mama Nena has been created by the Suarez. To call it "son of Haydee" is doing it a disservice. It stands on it's own.Four of us shared the dishes:Crispy Crab Bao with Yuzu Mayo. 2 between four of us. Managed to keep us all quiet (with maybe one exception!). Delicious.Salad of Crispy Prawns and red fruit vinaigrette. My oh my! Lovely.Tuna Tartar with gooseberry ponzu. Magnificent blend of a variety of different tastes which possibly shouldn't work but does.Meatballs over Udon noodles with teriyaki sauce. OMG - the taste of the noodles! Meatballs good too!!Pork Rib cooked at low temperature with strawberry hoisin - the previous dishes were excellent - so was this! Again, another wonderful blend of unexpected tastes. Which worked very well! And then came the Postres! Well this was seething else! Chocolate Foam, cream of galletta maria with date ice cream. The taste literally did explode in your mouth!Electric Lemon Pie - the best lemon pie I have ever tasted!Banana ceviche with tiger milk ice cream and rocoto. Can't really comment as I was unable to prise a taste! Suffice it to say there were many satisfied grunts being made!Crunchy vanilla strudel with kaffir lime ice cream and curry. This dish probably defines the whole meal, a blend of different tastes which probably shouldn't be mixed together but they work spectacularly well.2 bottles of Balancies White and two bottles of water. Much Pan and Mantiquilla. â¬146.A wonderful meal and thoroughly recommended.Thank you so much for such a kind review! We are truly honoured to receive this great words within our first month! We hope to have you back very soon so you can continue to experience our innovative cuisine. Best,
