Reviews on Spanish food in La Ceiba, Atlantida Department, Honduras. La Ceiba (Spanish pronunciation: [la ˈseiβa]) is a port city on the northern coast of Honduras in Central America. It is located on the southern edge of the Caribbean, forming part of the south eastern boundary of the Gulf of Honduras. With an estimated population of over 200,000 living in approximately 170 residential areas (called colonias or barrios), it is the third largest city in the country and the capital of the Honduran department of Atlántida. La Ceiba was officially founded on 23 August 1877. The city was named after a giant ceiba tree which grew near the old dock. The dock itself finally fell into the sea in late 2007. The city has been officially proclaimed the "Eco-Tourism Capital of Honduras" as well as the "Entertainment Capital of Honduras". Every year, on the third or fourth Saturday of May, the city holds its famous carnival to commemorate Isidore the Laborer (Spanish San Isidro Labrador). During this time, the city is host to approximately 500,000 tourists.

As I was looking for a restaurant that was suggested to me, I parked in front of this place, it did look different but looked new and nice, so went in with the family. We liked their decoration, music w soft, waiter was very nice all the time and answered all questions. They have a variety of sandwiches, my family had the Argentinian, it was good, it came with fries. I had the pasta, very good also. They have free wi fi, bathroom was very clean. This seem to be a good place to have good coffee with good desserts, wines in the evening. Again all sandwiches look good.Nice location close by the DâAntoni Hospital.

A small hotel on the Beach like a Bed and Breakfast
Our mission team of 11 ate a very late dinner here recdntly. Richard was totally accomodating. The food was good , sandwiches, pasta, fries, seafood, etc. The service was a bit slow because the power kept going out- no real worries. Prices were fair enough and he was very friendly and spent much time visiting with us. The beach location is the real draw for this place. Super.I hope is not late to say thank you,I just wanted you to know that we truly enjoy your stay with us and feel honored to be chosen La Delphina. thank you Richard
Susana quietly cooks up magic in her kitchen, making sure every dish is up to her standards. We had a generous helping from the salad bar (usually non existing in Honduras so particularly treasured), followed by entrees of pork chops and squid in a curry sauce. Delicious! Go there if in La Ceiba!
