Reviews on Spanish food in Juneau, Alaska, United States. Because of its ideal location between the base of Mount Juneau and the Gastineau Channel, the Southeastern Alaskan city of Juneau has been the home of Native American fisherman, European fur traders, and American gold prospectors. Now a free-spirited state capital, Juneau is the perfect base for a journey into the gorgeous Alaskan wilderness, whether it's for fishing, kayaking, and dog sledding in the National Parks, whale-watching at Icy Strait, or glacier hiking at the Juneau Icefield.

I asked for their recommendation plate, flatas also their flan and hibiscus drink. It took a long while waiting for our order, they forgot to charge for the flan and charged me again separately. The flatus were deep fried, crispy exterior, but there wasn't all that much substance to this dish. Their hibiscus drink I thought was overly sweet, that I stopped about halfway. The flan was overcooked, dense, not jiggly. Overall, pretty expensive for a lack luster dining experience. Not recommended.

This place is terrible. The food is bland, tasteless, icky. We got tacos, enchiladas and nachos. The meat seemed boiled and didn't even have salt! The chips tasted of oil and were a little stale. Never again! We're going to El Zarape.

Stopped here on way out of town (very close to airport). It's called Four Plates because that's all they offer: 4 simple Peruvian-style dishes. I ordered roast pork with rice and beans- asked for all beans, no rice. It was excellent food. Very flavorful, beans weren't mushy, and pork nicely done. Make sure to request their homemade hot sauce- more of a spicy green chmichurri, I could have devoured bowls of the stuff. Perfect spice and consistency. Wish I knew how to make it but waiter said it's a family secret recipe. They have limited wine/beer and very spartan ambiance in a small hotel lobby. No matter- it's well worth a visit and I'll be back on my next trip to Juneau.
