We came to this attractive modern restaurant set in the middle of olive groves for a surprise birthday lunch with friends from Jaén.The food was excellent. We shared a wide range of starters: ensaladilla, partridge paté, lomo de orza (marinated loin of pork), cold salmorejo soup, tuna tataki and croquetas....The main course was a choice of baked cod with a mayonnaise topping or 'pluma ibérica' (grilled loin of pork). The dessert was to die for. I have no idea what it was: a sort of light 'natillas´ custard with a ball of something very deliciously creamy at the bottom! Not a brilliant descriptionâ¦.In short, it was a great meal and the birthday lady really enjoyed herself !!

Had dinner here a few weeks ago and found that the dishes are either spectacular or horrendous. For example, the chicken curry croquettes, the spring rolls and the cerviche were all outstanding, however, the pigs ear samosas and salmon with ajoblanco were very disappointing. The desserts are incredible, my favourite being the tarta de queso espumoso! The service is also excellent so I look forward to returning with a more clear idea of what I would like to order.

One reason why I wanted to visit Jaen was to eat at Casa Antonio. Why information on tripadvosor or Google might not be up to date it is extremely unprofessional and sad that Casa Antonio is not giving any information about their restaurant being closed on Mondays on their own webside. They might cook fantastic food but when customers plan hotel etc. it is very disappointing to see your plans going down the drain because of lack of information on the webside.

Excellent food and atmosphere... don't let the appearance of this place impress you. The food is very good, and the prices quite convenient. The tapas offered with the drinks are all fish-based, but it is really worth trying some of the dishes served in the restaurant area (I don't like sitting in the street, so I preferred to stay inside). Gambas a la plancha were really excellent"

I am a lover of fish and seafood. Unfortunately in Jaen you can hardly find a good restaurant that serves fresh fish and seafood. It was a pleasant surprise when I have found this small and cosy restaurant situated 5 minutes walking from Cortes Ingles. Here you can find fresh fish like european sea bass , grouper, cod and other types of Mediterranean fish. The fish is very well prepared and accompanied by cooked veggies. The beer is served with varied tapas. The personnel is funny and they always have something extra to offer to customary clients.

Get there early and have a real treat! The location means it's got great ambiance. Combine this with great service and quality tapas and it's a winner. Just a note on portion size. We were 4 people and had 4 media racciones. That was plenty.A great place!

The food in this restaurant has to be some of the best in jaen. The service is great and the free limoncello at the end is a nice touch. I would recommend the magret de pato and raspberry chocolate bomb!

A lovely little restaurant which serves quality food at good prices. Raul really will do everything he can for his customers. The last dinner I had here consisted of provolone cheese with tomato, flamenquin con queso, bbq ribs and carrot cake for dessert. Everything was delicious, the wine was great and we were given a selection of bottles of liquer to help ourselves at the end. The only tip I have is that if you are going in a small group then stick to the bar menu rather than the restaurant menu. The restsurant menu only offers full portions rather than half so you can try more dishes for your money in the bar.

Stopped off in Jaén for lunch, GF found this little bar, and a great find it was. The host tried exceptionally hard to translate for us as my Spaninglish is as you would expect. Innovative dishes, all at great prices, 19,10 ⬠for 2...admittedly we only had one glass of wine, but even so well worth it. Clearly a favourite of the locals, which is always a good sign.

It seems to be all locally sourced ingredients. Top quality. Dishes are largely traditionally based but presented in a so modern way. Excellent presentation. Food was a culinary delight and exceeded expectations. Professional service. Not rushed but not slow either ! Tasting menu delivers small portions but you do get to taste some exceptional dishes that you may not normally order of an a la carte menu.
