Great tapas, we had a number of them. Spanish-style eating: outdoors, people-watching. Heads-up: the fries that come with the skewered meat are soggy and drenched in the sauce, let them go. Also, we found the shrimp underdone. That said, the ham and the cheese platter were phenomenal.Another down-point was the fact that they're totally in scheme with the street sellers (contraband / contrafaction). If this bothers you, don't choose one of the outermost tables. Staff is quick and efficient. Would recommend.

If you stop at La Antilla, make sure to visit this wonderful restaurant. The food is wonderful, a true delight and priced very decently. The service is incredibly warm, friendly, helpful and welcoming. There are great food options for children and as a bonus, a play park directly opposite on the beach. We went twice...which says a lot for us.Highlights; ham, grilled prawns, squid ink rice, tuna wrapped in bacon, salt baked fish.A must for a sundowner meal!

We are here one evening. The setting is lovely and the staff were very friendly. The menu is a bit confusing and we were swayed by the waitress to try a Japanese dish. Unfortunately this was very very salty and we sent it back. This was handled well and we were not charged for the dish or made to feel uncomfortable. Everything else that we ordered was good and overall we had a good visit.

We have been visiting Islantilla for over ten years now and always make a point of eating at this restaurant once during our visit. I have previously written a review so this is something of an update. It is in a great location looking out over the Islantilla beach promenade with views of the sea. You can sit inside in the air conditioning or outside on the balcony. The menu has not really changed at all and the quality of the food and service has remained high. It is a good place to eat fish, the lenguado [sole] is especially good, starters are also excellent to share particularly revuelto ,mojama and jamon. The wine list is pretty extensive but not too expensive. In all it has remained good quality in a centro commercial where restaurants come and goi

Had tapas here one lunchtime, consisting of Russian salad, tuna in garlic oil, octopus salad and beef in red wine. Also had a large beer and a generous glass of tinto de verano and it came to 14 euros. Really lovely food and completely authentic, although they do have English translations on the menu and one of the waiters speaks good English

... Just as we thought that everywhere was closed we came upon this little restaurant. (We had been hoping to find somewhere for lunch.) We enjoyed seafood soup followed by a montadito, which, to our surprise, came with a portion of chips! The soup was delicious. Excellent value - only 18 euros, which included bread, olives and a 1.5 litre bottle of mineral water. The menu was extensive for those seeking an evening meal or a heavier lunch.

It is not exactly a restaurant but a "spanish bar", quite simple but the food was very nice and very good value. It is in front of the sea so eating in the terrace is beautiful.

We have been coming to La Montanera for 16 years and have enjoyed every meal weâve ever had here. The service is excellent and discreet. The cuisine is superb, always with new dishes to try. The croquetas are the best in Spain! The restaurant is always full with regulars and visiting Spaniards. Weâre glad to hear that other nationalities have now found our little secret. We come here on every visit, wouldnât miss it for the world.Estimado cliente, muchas gracias por su amable opinión, nos llena de orgullo.Esperamos verle de nuevo pronto por aquÃ.Saludos.

We went here for dinner and to say we were disappointed would be an understatement.Although our starter of the white prawns was enjoyable, our steak meals were very disappointing as both were over cooked and what seemed to us to be very poor cuts of meat ( we ordered the sirloin ) That said, the sauces were good but definitely not somewhere we would return to.
