Stopped by here while visiting the Coachella valley on a Sunday afternoon. It was one of the only restaurants that appeared open, so we went inside. We shared a plate of shrimp and cheese stuffed chili peppers and some chicken tacos. The salsa and chips were quite tasty and unlike the midwestern states, the salsa actually had some flavor and heat. The chills were pan seared without any breading which was great. These things were so tasty, we could have ordered another plate full of them. Absolutely delicious!! Washed down with some cold Bohemias, this was one of the best Mexican meals we had while visiting. Don't let the outside appearance scare you away or you will be missing out on some authentic Mexican food, carefully and tastefully prepared and displayed. Can't wait to return.

Ate there tonight. Asked for their specialty and was told the chicken enchiladas with salsa verde. It was really good! Came with rice and beans and cost about $10 Plus they gave me tortilla chips (definitely fresh--most likely home made) and salsa, obviously home made with a nice kick. Friendly people. My only complaint is that they had the tv on too loud. I will definitely go back.

Stopped for lunch. Good sized menu with lots of choices. The food tasted very bland to me and needed more spice or ?. I was not offered a choice of beans-came with refried. Tamales were only offered in pork. The service was fast and friendly. Full bar and good sized Margaritas. Prices are the same as others in area.

Family Owned and operated with authentic recipes from Mexico! Amazing atmosphere that will make you feel like you our south of the Border! Delicious food and oh those margaritas!
Our Thursday evening visit here was great for food and service. However, the Mariachi band was unnecessarily loud, to the point that while they were playing anywhere in the restaurant, it was virtually impossible to carry on a coversation. The trumpet player pounded out the music like he was playing in a concert theatre. This made our visit less than enjoyable.I noticed a patron who was leaving after his meal, give the middle finger to the band. I guess he felt the same way that we did.

On business we asked where an authentic Mexican restaurant might be. They said Pueblo Viejo of course. Well they were so right. From the moment you walk in you just know you could go for lunch and leave after dinner. The cozy layout of the floor was inviting. The staff was engaging and the food and drink was, well almost perfect! Wonderful Mexican restaurant!
