Spanish Tapas Restaurant in the heart of the Ironbound. We have a full liquor license. We have one of the largest selections of vegetarian tapas in the neighborhood. Our Flamenco shows during the Fall and Spring season are a big hit. Our main entrees, yes
I visited this place for a flamenco show. The show was spectacular, the food absolutely delicious. I had the grilled octopus. I love the ambiance, the staff was very tentative. I will definitely go back

Had a long leisurely lunch with an old colleague. I had one of the lunch specials, the Paella Valencia. Very good. Lots of seafood, Spanish sausage and a half of a lobster tail. Huge portions. Plan on leaving with a doggie bag. The bread was delicious. Excellent service. On site parking lot. Accessibility ramp. The only negative thing that I can say, if it is a negative--they wouldn't let me package my own leftovers. Said that it was't allowed. This is the first time that I have encountered this. I prefer to put my leftovers in the container myself. They were nice about it though. They didn't rush us and let us stay as long as we wanted. I definitely would go again. It's worth a visit.

Had pre concert drinks and Tapas on Saturday early evening. Place has great atmosphere feels very European and owner is very nice guy. Tapas is really good, very authentic and no frills. Had patatas bravas, octopus, chorizo, croquettes and cheeses. All simple and tasty. Highly recommended

First off, nice ambiance and a great wine list! It is loaded with a fabulous selection of Spanish wines. Pleasantly surprised. Lots of options on the menu. We started off with some clams to share that were really flavorful and perfectly done. For our entrees we ordered a paella and suckling pig. Both huge portions but both also dry...very dry. Was expecting better. Expensive.I'm glad you appreciated our extensive wine list. It's wonderful you enjoyed the clams as well. As for the entrees, I'm sorry you weren't as impressed there. I look forward to the next opportunity we get to earn another star or two from you.Sincerely,Andres, Manager

We routinely have our holiday party here as it is convenient and reasonable priced per person. I always order the black bean soup as a starter as it is really good. I am also a big fan of the paella. The sangria is top notch and they host a lot of holiday parties. If you are looking to have a large party down neck, this is a great choice.

Established in 1932 Spanish Tavern is the oldest restaurant in New Jersey specializing in cuisine from Spain!
First time at this restaurant and fell in love with it. Service, wine list and food was fantastic. They bring bread and complimentry soup and we had ordered calimari which was good. We tried paella that was the best I've had in the US. So full we did not experience desert. Some on street parking and a well lit lot across the street for restaurant patrons.
