We were on our way from Madrid to Cadaques and found this restaurant at Trip Advisor. The location, although very convenient, is not the best. But the food and service were outstanding.

This cozy little place is well worth going out of your way for. They are packed, so I'd advise a reservation (they did walk some folks around the corner to a sister restaurant who showed up without one). The food is exquisite, they have a great bar and wine list at a price that represents an exceptional value, at least for an American traveler. My wife and I chose to sit at the bar rather than at the two-top which was reserved for us; service there was gracious, efficient and even entertaining. The staff is multilingual and the welcome is a warm one.

Food was absolutely fenomenal! However, it is a shame when a restaurant serves such an exquisite food and has an arrogant and unprofessional waiter like Fabian. Talking absolute nonsense to people while others wait half an hour to get their order placed. My wife and I had to refill our wine twice due to lack of attention through service (waiter left if behind our back in a bucket). We went for my wifeâs birthday and I have emailed the restaurant directly to ask for a candle in her dessert as a surprise. All was ignored, moreover there was a couple sitting behind us who actually got their surprise cake with a candle. I guess they were not from UK, as Fabian really dislikes London (he told us himself). It is probably best not to mention were are you from to Fabian, maybe the service will be better then.I most certainly would not recommend going here for a special night.â¬120 was definitely not worth the service we got.Dear Andrius, Thank you for your review and feedback which affect me and I would answer and disagree few points with you to avoid confusions to anyone. First of all, I am happy you truly enjoyed the food offered. However, I am shocked you "labeled" me as an arrogant and unprofessional person/waiter (To inform you I am the owner). I am very far away of being as you said arrogant and unprofessional. This is well known by thousands of other customers who keep visiting us daily since now more than 6 years. All these great customers actually love my special personality, professional manners, attention to details, my languages knowledge (speak 5 fluent languages) and many others great definitions which I will keep for me.Yes, opinions are always individual, personal and respectable in this case, I totally disagree with your opinion. Once again, opinions are personal, this is my personal one. Of course, you are correct, I personally saw you serving yourself the white wine on 1 occasion (I did not see the second one...) and I apologize for it same I also did it to you at the moment you were serving the wine to your wife. This should not happened, but unfortunately it happened. Sorry once again. I think and I believe, as we forgot to place a candle to your wife's dessert, you lost the "objectivity" and you looked at me, the restaurant and all around you with a different view being negative and kind of destructive. And, here once again, this was a mistake and we forgot (using the word "ignore" is another destructive definition) the candle on the dessert. This might be also the cause of your booking, as I remember, you changed your booking on 3 occasions the date of your dinner and I replied 3 times to you....It looks you are kind of a "changing" personality...On the other hand, It is not true you waited 30 minutes for me taking your order, there were other tables before you and I went one by one. I also recommend you a special wine and you enjoyed it very much. Finally, it is "funny" when saying I do not like London, I lived there more than 5 years, worked for many British companies, in the past even worked for a well known British airline and did it for more than 10 years, had a British ex business partner and naturally I absolutely love the "marmite" (remember you love it or hate it, this might probably be your personal feeling towards me...). I do not like the weather, yes, as the majority of British citizens (this is the reason millions of them visit us every year and thousands of them lives in Spain), this is what I said, do not mix my comments. I finished saying to you "I have a better quality of life in Barcelona". I would like to inform you were from Ukraine not the UK, one more reason who make your point of view of countries origin a little confusing. As I said, apologies for not having being able to make your dinner as you were expecting, some mistakes can happen. "errare humanum est". I hope you will excuse us and hope you will visit us back on a second occasion to prove you were not "100% correct"Kind regardsFabian

Tapas restaurant placed in Sant Antoni area of Barcelona. Restaurant with an open kitchen, high tables and terrace. *We don´t accept bookings, you just need to come and ask for a table at the entrance.
This small restaurant on an unassuming corner had the most amazing food. It had been recommended by a Barcelona local in Brisbane, Australia and certainly did not disappoint. All of the staff were friendly and accommodating of English speakers. The food was fresh and beautifully presented and was the best we found on our 9 week trip. So much so that we went back a second time.

Holidays from 14th of April until 4th of May. Catalan cuisine madre with organic and localy-grown products. We emphasise on the "Mar i Muntanya" (sea and mountain) concept by developing a haut-cuisine menu that is served in an informal and welcoming atmos
We had heard great things about the food and experience at Teoric and we were not disappointed. The staff was incredibly welcoming, informative and accommodating (even with two small children). Their food is all about local, farm-to-table experience with a creative interpretation of traditional Catalan food. The ingredients are undoubtedly of the highest caliber as everything we had was delicious. The cod filet, grilled octopus and blue cheese cherry tart (for dessert) were beyond words. Canât wait to go back (once the political riots go away!) *They donât have high-chairs for kids. I would highly encourage a reservation

Crowded, so just be prepared to wait - and to snuggle up to other diners. Service is excellent, Tapas delicious, Sangria divine - get the "big" one! And order the suprise. It's a LOT of food for two people and the choices are perfect and change all the time. The restaurant is in the heart of El Barri Gòtic with all its charm. We went there the first night of our stay and loved it so much we went back on the last night! Was an even better experience the second time!

Santa Clara is a cozy and unique restaurant with a garden, perfect for a quiet evening. It is located in the Pedralbes district of Barcelona and offers services every day of the week. It has been decorated by the prestigious interior decorator Jaime Berie
I think the idea of slow food is all good and well, but here they take the experience to a whole other level. I've been here a few times because it's convenient for meeting people. Whenever I go, I am shocked at how slow they are at taking orders and, heavenly patience, actually serving. Today was just a joke, but totally in line with previous experiences. It obviously took them 10 min or more to even bother taking our order, despite a neatly empty place. Alas, we ordered 4 coffees and some pastries and it took them... 10 min? 15 min? 20 min?... seriously??? So we try to get the waiters attention, which is not easy because he has that well trained technique of dashing to one of the other few tables carefully avoiding any eye or ear contact, less you interrupt their hectic nothingness...So...25 min it is... still no coffees. Can it really be that Santa Clara will take half an hour to make two 'cortados' and two café con leche? Of course it can! So I stand up and go inside to chase up this super complicated order... astonished at seeing no more than four other tables being used but at least 3 or 4 waiters... floating around. And here comes the punchline... when I ask the guy about our coffees, he quite casually answers that he knows, sure, "they're on their way"... so seeing these people are taking the piss I decide to do the same ... I ask for a two more coffees and a fresh juice and a bikini sandwich and then we all leave to Central Park cafe across the street.
