Best place to go!I live in north Tenerife and I had been told about this place by a friend that lives in the south in the island.... and ever since then, whenever I feel like eating fish, seafood or a nice rice, this restaurant is my place to go.Mussels and clams are the best I tried in the whole island, the tuna tartar is amazing and the seafood platters awesome. MuchÃsimas gracias por haberse convertido ya en fiel cliente de Restaurante La Taberna del Mar.Un saludo.

We were staying in Los Christianos and found many restaurants very poor. A lady in the nest apartment suggested Los Abrigos it's not far. Well it was near the end of our 14 days and we were sad we had not found the wonderful fish restaurant earlier. I will just say please go. The sea bass was first class very friendly owner and staff. We went for our last two days. Put's these tourist rip off's in the big towns to shame. Well done.

In the year 1970 our grandparents placed the first stones of what we are today, cooking and selling the products that the sea offered them, to a few tourists that in those times arrived in these still desert places and to the inhabitants of the area. They

Family Restaurant with contemporary style. Home made cuisine with barbecue style, pastas, typical spanish tapas.
We visited this restaurant last week. The food we got was absolutely fantastic. The couple who run this Portuguese restaurant were so welcoming and friendly. An odd place. Following great reviews we went for our last night meal in Tenerife. First we were told no seating inside. So we sat outside. Then head waitress came out and said âitâs cold out here, come insideâ .... the two waitresses then argued in front of restaurant about why we were sat outside. The Canarian stew tasted nice but wasnât a stew. As it had just been cooked. Dishes described as âtraces of glutenâ came deep fried in breadcrumbs... the hake was described as fresh hake... this also came deep fried in breadcrumbs... the whole experience was a little weird. The hake was taken off the bill due to its lack of freshness. Not recommended, when you have amazing Spanish restaurants five minutes walk away!!!

Maria tapas restaurant, located in the port of Los Abrigos, offers a cozy terrace where you can enjoy seafood, fresh fish, variety of tapas and daily suggestions within a Mediterranean style menu, with contributions of local cuisine.
Great views and fresh seafood with good service from both the Scottish and Spanish waitresses. Reasonably priced and would def recommendOnly negative was we walked the coastal path from san blas which is still under construction. Just a warning that unless u have robust footwear itâs very challengingThank you for this review, we are very glad that you enjoyed your experience in our restaurant and we hope to see you again on your next visit to the area.

We went here after reading all the good reviews. First of all the service was really good, the waiters were super friendly! We had a great wine but were dissapointed in the food. The starters tuna tataki and tuna carpaccio were basic and a little under seasoned. As the main dish we took cob and beef cheeks. The cod was fine, the beef well cooked but not warm and the gratin was just cold. The waiter was really nice about it and wanted to give a reduction, the cook (who was standing next to our table, didnât agree). She didnât even bother speaking to us or explaining, what felt to us as a little rude. As she was having a cosy chat with the people next to us.We paid almost 100 euro, which for Tenerife is more then average. We think there are better quality/price restaurants.I love to think we made the wrong choices on the menu or they were having a bad day.Took 1,5 hour for the first food hit the table. The presentation of the food is good!
