I visited this place with friends, and the experience was very positive.The service was friendly, timely and efficient...they made you feel like home. The coffee and the food was very good. Note that the place is not expensive but the food is tasty.Important...the place has free wi-fi...Enjoy!

This hidden gem is very popular. Locals will travel a long way to eat here. The restaurant is set in a wonderful garden lovingly tended by the owner who knows and greets all his guests personally. His enthusiasm and customer care alone make this trip worth while. The trout is fresh from the restaurant's own water. It couldn't be more tasty: crisply fried but still juicy and soft on the inside. The side dishes are to die for. Try the fried plantain and fried yuka! This is definitely one not to miss. Highly recommended!

This is a nice place located at the end of the main road on your travel from SJ to Cartago. Nice view of mountains and a rustic location with a great variety of food options, including some typical CR food such: mondongo soup, pinto, patacones and more.This restaurant is pet friendly and you can have lunch with your dog without any issue (just use your leash all the time).Food was good but overpriced from my point of view. We tried Picanha (small portion but good taste), Lomito (it is a must to try), Lengua en salsa(big portion, tasty and really good in general), gallos de chorizo (really bad plate, don´t even try this. Seems like a piece of cheap salchichón instead of a real chorizo. Since speciality of this restaurant is BBQ, I really believe that they need to include a really good homemade chorizo instead of current version of this plate. Patacones were great as an appetizer.Nice place, different way to spend a Sunday with family(feel like be on the mountains and have some fun options such as canopy and horse riding). I recommend if you are not looking for a fancy place and if you are looking for pet-friendly place.Customer service from Carlos was a plus during our visit. The gay was so friendly, effective and funny.

Was a rainy day so they were not as busy, a good thing Ordered promptly No English menus but pictures include descriptions where you can figure out what is what Staff did know a little EnglishHas Texas signs inside as decorOrder steaks and BBQ ribs Everything cooked to perfection Delivery was in good time Even watched NLF football game on Sunday Would recommend if your driving by or looking for steak house Thank you so much for your comments.
