Find out what Spanish restaurants to try in Cardiff. The Welsh capital may have begun its life as a Roman fort, but it's since become a bustling city. Where the fort once stood, Cardiff Castle has held court since the 11th century. It remains a central presence in the city, now full of lively art and music venues, hip boutiques, fun bars and modern hotels. Even with so many new and exciting things to see, the National History Museum is still the most visited attraction in Wales. Don't be the only visitor who plays hooky!

Visited last night had a lovely authentic meal! Large tapas menu, we got through probably quarter of menu and were all stuffed! Meatballs, Russian salad, octopus, patatas bravas, selection of meats, chipirones, calamari, bucherones and being half Spanish can say they were definitely all authentic. Helpful staff the majority of which are Spanish including the chef which helps with the authenticity. Sangria was lovely. Whole experience was fab, will definitely be going back to try the paella and black rice and would definitely recommend, prob best to book as it was very busy!

The Bar 44 Group of Tapas Bars are all slightly different with their own unique menus and ambience. There is, however, one common theme which runs through them all....the passion and desire to bring the very best food, drink and hospitality from modern Sp
This is a busy bar/restaurant. There are restaurant tables and less formal stools and bars where you can eat and drink. The staff were really good fun. Cheerful and talkative but not obtrusive. The tapas were fantastic. Wine not too expensive. A really good night out with friends.

The star of the show in all asador restaurants is the wood-fired parrilla grill. The Spanish larder is amongst the very best in the world, so when the finest meat, seafood and vegetables from Spain are cooked to perfection over different types of wood, th
Was working in Cardiff with an early finish so thought Iâd treat myself to a decent lunch . Was warmly welcomed & opted for the set lunch deal which is a total bargain given the quality of food.Had the terrine which was perfectly nice but was blown away by the steak & chips which was superb . Had the £5 sommelier choice red which was mellow & delicious. Food was so good that I had desert - authentic cheesecake with almond Tuile & blackberries . Service was great - very friendly and had a nice large table to myself. Felt very welcome & no pressure to spend more - tap water provided with no hard sell etc. Would definitely go back ... hopefully with friends so we can sink a bottle of the delicious red . 3 courses with one glass & service was just over £30 Thanks Asador 44 - great lunchX

Visited Curado on Sunday after running the Cardiff Half. This restaurant was perfect, it was actually pretty quiet so felt good to relax and really chat to our very knowledgeable waitress Rhi about food and drink options. Rhi helped us order the most amazing drinks and really did know her stuff. After the meal which was just gorgeous (especially the red wine chorizo) we brought wine and vermouth from the deli to take home which I thought was a lovely touch!Would definitely go back as the entire experience was just fantastic!
