Mexican food just tastes better when your server speaks only a little English! Stopped in here for lunch. Amazing food! Fast friendly service. Country Enchiladas were excellent. My wife had the buffet. Many choices. Food was fresh and delicious. Very reasonable price. Eat here. You will NOT be sorry.

We shared two appetizers. Steak fries with dips, and stuffed jalepenos. Both were good. We especially liked the jalepenos. Waiter (one of the owners) was very helpful and attentive. All four of us enjoyed our entrees. Two of us had chipotle pasta and we would both order the same next time. The only issue is that they did not have the air conditioning on and they needed to.
Love this place. Traditional grilled chicken. You can get grilled chicken plates or get a different option. Salads, bowls, quesadillas, and 5$ meals. I love the double chicken bowl, i get extra sour cream. The salsa bar provides options to enhance your meal. Love the fact they have whole Serranos.WIll come back.

I was staying at a nearby hotel and needed to eat something ... fortunately El Taco Loco was nearby. It's a very basic small town cafe-style restaurant that serves Mexican style tacos (yeah, on the small tortillas). Even living in the taco-rich environment of Mexico City, I was very pleased with the steak tacos and the goat meat tacos. They were very, very good. Service was good and on the spot. Prices were in line with expectations. The only drawback is that they don't serve beer. But for that I'd go back ... but I'm an old Texas boy and gotta have beer with my tacos.

Four of us ordered the platter for three and it was enough for six. It was good. I really liked the nachos that were just chips, cheese, beef and fresh avocados. Good service, low-key environment. Great prices.

If you pass by this place and your hungry you are missing out. Absolutely authentic Mexican restaurant to the point of no menus in English. Our waitress was a blessing. She brought a sample of each meat to try to see what we liked best. I had the special and my wife had the Mexican plate. More food than you can eat with soup to start and flan or cake for dessert. All for under $20 for 2 of us. Stop by when you are in town, you won't be disappointed.

This place has really good taco's and beans. And if you're eating local, that's what you're looking for. They're small taco's so you will probably want to order six, trust me. They have bisteak (beef), tripas (cow intestine), asado (pork) and a few others options. Good quick, tasty, inexpensive meal.

This is probably the best taco restaurant in the Rio Grande Valley. Their flautas, tostadas and beans are also great. Their crunchy tripa tacos are so good they've been voted the best tacos in the Rio Grande Valley several times. They have a medium dining room and a patio. This place is usually crowded since late in the morning until closing. It is not unusual to have a short wait to be seated. If you are in Brownsville, this is a place you should not miss!
