This place is great. There are 4 others. They are in NY. Tons of great grilled meat. BYOB. They have Sangria. I think the other locations have alcohol. Classic
Have been visiting Pollos Mario for many years, starting back with the location when we lived in NY. This was our family's Friday night dinner spot - good food, reasonable prices, and great service. However, since about June 2016, the experience has been going downhill. The food is mediocre at best, the bowls of beans are just water with nearly nothing inside, and the waiter (yes, we get stuck with the same guy each week) is terrible - constantly forgetting to bring me (the one who pays the bill) something from my order or my drinks. For years, there was a lovely waitress there on Friday nights (Angelica?) who knew exactly what our kids wanted and provided wonderful service. I work too hard to give my money to a place that treats me and my family poorly.I can say that I'm giving Mario a break for a very long time. There is no shortage of other Colombian spots (or restaurants for that matter) in the area. Para la duena, se esta danando el negocio y sus clientes fieles ya no aceptaran este nivel de servicio y comida mediocre. La suplico, areglalo antes que pierdes todos sus clientes a la competencia.

The Sal & Pimienta restaurant in Teaneck, NJ has outstanding Colombian food. It is a family-owned business with the wife, husband, daughter and son all working there. They have great service and absolutely delicious fresh food every time I eat there. My favorite dish is Tilapia with mixed vegetables and tostones!

The chicken burrito is full of fresh chicken and a mixer of fresh vegetables like zucchini and broccoli. The appetizer with shrimp, and chees stuffed in a jalapeno and wrapped with bacon is incredible!

I came here with my family once and all of us (even the 10 year old) throughly enjoyed it. We got the most expensive steaks and they were simply delicious. The juices held together nicely within the meat because of the authentic wooden stoves they use. It gives all the food a nice char while leaving the insides tender and bloody. Aside from the blissful memories of steak and family, I decided to come back with my girlfriend and switch it up. To start they give you this delicious bread to nibble on while you wait and the crust is so crunchy while it maintains a nice warm pillow of fluffiness on the inside. Some fine bread if I must say and by the time I was done, my real meal was presented. I tried the chicken this time around and it's surprisingly right up with the steak in terms of flavor. A light garlic sauce goes a long way with the simplicity of just a plate of chicken, but keep in mind that it's just a plate of chicken. They allow you one side item because it's an entree, so i got the sweet potato fries and they were pretty good. My girlfriend got the ravioli with vodka sauce and although there were only 6 pastas total, she said her meal was very filing. The creamy sauce was delightful, but she had to scrape off a lot of Parmesan cheese from the tops of her raviolis because it was rather overwhelming. Definitely a cozy Argentinian atmosphere and the food is great, just get prepared to spend a little more to match the quality of food that you get. I'm a satisfied customer that will indefinitely return.

We went for brunch around 1:30pm, we wanted to seat outside but it started to rain, so they move our table inside, our table was on the side by the bar, the food was really good and the portion was very large, I end up having leftovers for 3 days.My only disappointment was the flies they were everywhere on the tables next to us and he waiters weee acting like it was normal. It was very disturbing. All I was thinking if the flies are out in the dining area like that imagine how they are in the kitchen area.

Hackensack, NJ, is one of those older, poorer cities that tends to be visited during work hours and is a little dicey at night. But tucked away in downtown Hackensack, there is a little gem of a restaurant called Villa de Colombia. This Colombian has a modern, crisp, clean and comfortable decor and a solicitous, skilled wait staff. That's a nice base on which to build and a delicious menu completes a terrific dining experience. The shrimp in garlic butter had this little citrus finishing note that made them a delicious treat. They should use a larger shrimp, even if it adds to the price a little. At $8, it could take another hit for larger shrimp. The main courses were exciting. Bandeja Paisa, a very traditional Colombian dish, featured a crispy pork strip and a delicious steak with rice, beans and a fried egg on top. Very special. Villacol, a house specialty, is a perfectly prepared (medium rare) skirt steak accompanied by shrimp wrapped in crispy bacon and creamy smooth mashed potatoes. Villa de Colombia is a real treat, and very reasonably priced. Hackensack doesn't deserve its bad reputation, particularly when there's such a dining delight right in the center of the city.

We visited with our friends on Sunday night and the place was very busy, had to wait about 1/2 hour for a table. There is no place to wait so we just hung out by the door but it was cold and uncomfortable. Once seated, our waiter brought menus and drinks. It took an exceptionally long time for our main course to arrive, but we didnât mind, it gave us time to talk and catch up with our friends. The portions were very big, the food was delicious and reasonably priced. We would definitely try this place again.

I visited this location expecting the same yummy delicious menu as the location in New Mildford. Let's start from the outside... If you are not familiar with the area and you follow the address listed on the website, you can get lost. The place is small for the amount of customers the restaurant serves. The food was between good and average... Nothing to compare with the New Mildford location. The only thing I can say if was really good, was the drink .... Passion Fruit Mojito
