Let me state at the outset that this my only experience of eating at a sidreria (cider house) so this is not a comparative review. What is indeed certain is that this was one of the best meals I have had during my substantial travels all over the world. Food was very abundant and freshly prepared. Quality of the T-bone second to none - had not had something similar since my last visit to South America. Unlimited cider was a novelty, even more so the manner in which one fills the glass!!!!!!!!!! We opted for the set menu which at 30Euros each (including unlimited wine and drinks) was extremely fair value. Another novelty was eating without any plates!!!!! Place is very clean and service was excellent.One of the reasons why I will definitely return to visit the area.

Went here with some friends from San sebastian, otherwise we would never have found itas its 10 mile from the city,but only 500 meters from Mugaritz michelin star restaurant.Having said that the food in this family run brewery and restaurant is 5 star. thanks to Sante Alvarez for showing us around the Cidre cellars for samples of there award winning ciders, i think the food and service should be award winning too had a excellent time, if you get the chance to go there make sure you do. its worth a look. I think that you can get organised excursion to visit here aswell so do try if you can.

Cider season is of my favorite dinner appointments with friends and of all of them this is my favorite one because it maintains the classic enviroment but without standing tables, and mainly because the food is very very good. Will continue repeating it.

Had lunch here yesterday with our son who has moved to Hernani. Food was truly delicious, every bite. The merluza was exceptional. The three course lunch for three people, including a bottle of both wine and local cider came to â¬48! I would highly recommend this restaurant, well worth a short train ride out from San Sebastián

I went with my girlfriend for lunch in order to cellebrate my birthday.I previouxly bought 2 menus in Colectivia for 49⬠each one instead of 99â¬.Nice installations, correct service and wonderful menu.This restaurant, whose chef is Ixak Salaberria deserves to be Michelin starred but it isnât yet. Itâs working since 1903!I strongly recommend it, specially takong advantage of this special offer.

We hosted our wedding reception dinner at Misura and enjoyed the chef's recommended tasting menu for our group. Everything was beautifully presented, and meticulously executed. The restaurant prides itself on using local and organic products native to the region, thereby ensuring only the freshest items of the season are used. The dishes are flavourful, thoughtful, and easily one of the best meals we've ever had. Make sure to try the 62-degree egg and cod and the tarte tatin. What a delight! Everyone was raving about the culinary experience they had that night- not to mention, the attentiveness of the staff, and warmth of the environment. Everything was perfect! We will definitely come back to Misura and Arima again for our vow renewals!!! :) Thank you again for everything!

This is a handsome Basque cottage filled with happy diners from their community. They seemed to know each other very well, conversations were passionate and animated. And good food was clearly their focus. Their Bacalau omelette was very fragrant and moist and delicious. Lettuce salad with onions was refreshing and light. Grilled porchini mushrooms was served with a poached egg on top, Fried anchovies with garlic was outstanding. Red peppers stuffed with Squid in black ink was presented like an artist's drawing with a backdrop of brilliant orange. The rice pudding dessert "arroz con leche" was delicious, not too sweet, difficult to stop eating once you've started. Hi Haebbee. We had a wonderful dinner at Xiri on a Saturday evening. The restaurant / bar was busy but we were able to get a table for two without a reservation. The waiter recommended an excellent vermouth cocktail (only â¬3.50) and my husband had a really nice local beer. We took further recommendations for specials of the day and ordered a delicious tomato salad with olive oil and salt, 2 x Iberian pork (you could do just one and share as a taster) and 2 x hake. Each dish was so delicious! Itâs hard to say, but maybe the hake was our favourite? We also had two desserts and another glass of wine each. All up our bill was â¬50 and we thought this was very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food we got!! In fact, we were surprised at how cheap it was! Our friendly waiter also brought out two small glasses of a local liqueur to end the night. All up, we would definitely recommend this restaurant!! 5/5!

If you've had your fill of the excellent San Sebastian pinchos and the generally meaty restaurant dishes this is a delightful vegetarian alternative. Nothing flash or showy but a simple setting with a range of well crafted cuisine for lunch or dinner.Hi. Thank you very much for your hands. I would like to clarify that we are not a vegetarian restaurant, but a restaurant with organic ingredients. We have vegetarian dishes, fish, smoked fish and a meat dish.Thanks again.
