We found this palce via the tripadvisor website, not much being open on a monday night. We had beautiful bread, potatoes, sauce and cheese to start. The menu is not extensive. My wife had chicken and I a pork chop. The mains come with nothing so save a few of your potatoes from your starter. I had a beer a coffee and we had water. The bill was 22 euro. The service was quick.

PÃcaro was conceived to be a place to share food and joy with friends and relatives. The restaurant's aim, located in the centre of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, is to provide a space to enjoy the flavours of an international cuisine. PÃcaro is the personal
It is difficult for me to write this review: the place was recommended by the Owner of De Cuchara who I respect very much. Ok, good things: nice service, very good atmosphere, You can feel there comfortable, Chef.Things to work on:1. Ventilation system: if I wouldnât be adviced I never stepped inside as You can feel the burnt oil odour on a street olready. But You donât feel it inside.2. Menu: should be more clearly divided into sections.3. Food: shrimp curry - very good idea and taste, beef tataki - very very average4. Menu and portions composed in such a way that I left hungry- in fact I noticed that many reviewers say that.In fact I know that the Chef is really good and the restaurant could be really great - just need some inspiration.

Situated right in the quiet square facing the basilica (it's not a cathedral), El Encuentro competes with a couple more restaurants for the occasional influx of visitors, especially at the weekend. Quiet, except during days, like today, when they hold some event or other. Today, it was a road race.El Encuentro has both outdoor and indoor seating, so take your pick. It serves Spanish cuisine, but focussing more on Canarian dishes. The portions were rather miserly, more like tapa sizes, or half-portions, at best, so you'd end up ordering quite a few.We started with papas negras, which are a variety only found in Tenerife. They are not found in abundance, so they're more expensive than the other common types. When you cut the potatoes open, you'll be treated with creamy yellow flesh, similar to that of sweet potatoes. They're cooked the "arrugadas" style, boiled with the peel, in highly salted water, which makes the skin wrinkle, and accompanied with mojo sauce. Wonderful as these black potatoes were, I've tasted better. Perhaps, it needed more of the sauces...The croquettes came in 3 kinds of filling: Iberian ham, cod (these two were rather too salty for my liking) and Chorizo de Teror (these were sweetish). The chipirones (baby squid) were bigger than others I've seen and were somewhat tougher too. Bearing in mind that these are usually cheaper than the bigger calamares, I found this dish not value for money.Other dishes we had were a cheese platter, except it wasn't really a platter, keeping in line with their small-portions policy; the normal papas arrugadas, and gofio escaldado. Gofio is traditional Canarian flour, which has a distinct flavour, and this is cooked with fish stock. If you've never tried it, I suggest you did.Service was adequate but next time, I'd be more inclined to try one of those restaurants on the side streets rather than this.

Nice and cosy restaurant in the center of Teror, combining the typical Canary island style with the homely warmth of the Scandinavian countries. Vegetarian, vegan and ecological options.
Follow the sign boards away from the main square and down the steep, narrow street. We booked for dinner, earlier than most locals, but the place filled later in the evening. Very friendly and attentive staff, food prepared fresh and all tasted good. Good selection of beer and wine at reasonable prices.Went back a couple of days later for coffee in the courtyard. Very pleasant haven from the busy Sunday market.

This is a classic Spanish family restaurant, specialising in Canary cuisine. It is easy to find, and spacious, with large tables and clean linen. The service is swift and cheerful. The food is based around the classic dishes, and I liked especially the Wreck Sea Bass ("Cherne"), which is a dense white fish, with a texture like Monkfish. The portions are large and the range on the menu covers most palates. The bread and house wine flavoursome and good. I would return happily.

A space to enjoy the wine in a different way. A unique atmosphere that will surprise you. Some call it bodegas, other wine cellars and others describe it as an authentic "canary yard" of the old ones!
The tapas plate here are very good, and good value for money - big portions :) Also the local Canarian wine we ordered (2.50er per glass!) was excellent and complimented the food very well. The place itself has a good atmosphere, and they play good music. The waiter was excellent (same girl on both visits). Thanks a lot for your comment. We are really happy about that. I will comment to all our staff. We try to be better each day more types of Wine and better food.We hope you enjoy your experience in Arucas, Gran Canaria.

We had lunch with our toddlers, and the staff was very welcoming and friendly. The children had meatballs and rice and loved it (so at that point we were already extatic about the place). Be sure to check out the boards showing todays specials, there were many fantastic sounding dishes and gems to be found there! All dishes that we ate were fantastic, The jamon iberico was so tasty and tender, fried cheese was excellent soft and creamy with a tangy sauce.

We are at 6pm, normal in the UK but not here! We were the only ones dinning and thankfully this place was open as many others were closed. The service was quick and really tasty. We had the chicken soup which was huge and lovely, we then enjoyed calf liver and baked cheese with jam, both traditional local meals. We lived them both, portions were huge and the price for two with wine was â¬35. EnjoyThank you for dedicating your time in writing a review. Your opinion is very important to us. We feel excited that you liked our restaurant and that you were so satisfied. Please remember that we offer a nonstop service from 12pm to 12am. We like to take care of our customers and give the best possible experience to them, how they want it and when they want it. We sincerely hope to have you back soon !!!In the meanwhile, all the very best to you from our entire team.El Mercado
