I thought the atmosphere at Central Mesa was nice & conducive to having a visit with an old friend. We were there for her birthday.Music was playing at an appropriate level;you could hear it but it didn't drown out your conversation. The food & drinks were average, although we had an awesome waitress.I was a little disappointed in the menu & food as I was hoping for more of a variety, especially some items that didn't contain all meat & drinks made with fresh juices. Salsa was served cold right out of refrigerator . I like mine room temp. or warm. I thought the entrees were a little over-priced,but you did get a generous portion. My friend said the sangria was very good.I would be willing to give it another go just because I liked the atmosphere.this was during the week so don't know what it's like on the weekends!

I've been to all of Chris Hastings restaurants. Given the opportunity to be in Tuscaloosa, I was excited to try SIde by SIde. It turned out to be a real disappointment. Uneducated staff, poorly prepared food...definitely NOT up to the Chris Hastings standard. We ordered the duck wing appetizer, what arrived were duck bones with severly overcooked meat attacted. The skin was crunchy but the meat was incinerated. Of the four of us, only I had a meal I could actually call good, but how can you ruin a ham and cheese plate???Nit a lot of food on the plates for the hefty price we paid...

Was very hungry when we stopped and very full when leaving. Service is outstanding and food is great. Always enjoy every location. Worth the stop.
