Very friendly staff, great food! I had the large frito pie (with two tamales on top) and it was delicious and much more than I could eat. My grandson had a huge burrito. Can't remember the name of it but there's a special dip/chip item that is outstanding! We'll definitiely visit again.

Our fantasy league had its annual Super Bowl party here...approximately 25 people. There were no chips and salsa on the tables when we arrived and had to ask for these items numerous times. The television went out and we missed the first 10 minutes of the game. The fajita buffet they served was bland without anything available to spice it up. Service was practically non-existent.Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are very sorry to hear about your most recent visit. Given the chance, we would like to discuss it further with your privately. At your earliest convenience, please contact us using the contact page on our website. Sincerely,Marisa

Iplanned my visit to Tolberts several weeks ago when I learned a long time friend's band was playing there. Having never patronized the restaurant, I really didn't know what to expect food wise from the chili parlor with the famous moniker in downtown Grapevine, but it was a good surprise. Parking couldn't be better with a well lit public lot next door, a side entrance next to the stage that allowed me to grab a front row table a few feet from the stage. Eating later than normal, I asked for a menu, but not wanting the signature dich of red, I ordered the 8 oz. ribeye with a side of sweet potato fries and pintos. Asking for medium rare and expecting a medium steak, I wqs surprised that the well seasoned cut was actually medium rare. The fries were good, but the beans needed some extra seasoning (cured with the salt and pepper shakers).I was told the restaurant has live entertainment 5 nights a week which is nice coming from a town where decent live music means going to a dive bar. Question is would I go there again? Most certainly, the menu looked interesting and the frito pie is highly recommended (a Texas delicacy) but I'd leave the spicy items for earlier in the day.

We stopped in for an early weekday dinner. While there was some good about it, it didnât live up to the hype for us. Pros:- The space is awesome. Itâs very nicely done. - Service was great from everyone. - The carnitas sopas appetizer was outstanding. Thatâs going to be my meal next time. Cons:- I had the Hatch tacos. Though the filling was okay (just okay) I was really disappointed with the blue corn tortillas. Though they purport to be handmade, they really tasted like they were out of a box - kind of bland and flavorless. I lived in NM before, these tasted nothing close to the great ones you can get at even the cheapest roadside diner in NM, much less the high-end places. - My companion had the enchiladas del mar. While the seafood was good, the tortillas were not - they were with out âbiteâ - spongy like Ethiopian bread and not good. If Mi Dia can improve their tortillas, theyâd be up to the hype, but without getting that basic thing right they arenât there. Work on your masa recipes guys. Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback! We appreciate knowing where we can improve. We hope that you join us again in the future!

This is four star Quick Service. Great flavors. Tortilla soup had awesome flavors in the broth and mix in ingredients that it is hard not to get. Daily specials are tasty. Limited beer and cocktails available. I'd go here ten times out of ten over Chipotle. If my wife ever has trouble deciding where to eat...just mention this place and she'll be there.

I am not a huge fan of Mexican food but tonightâs dinner was very satisfying. Everything I had was very good. The portions were very sizable. Very nice atmosphere.

You would almost have to already know where it is....or just look for the cars and people in front of the cafe. Located within a small shopping center, Torchy's obviously is a known place for locals. Going on errands with family from the area. We want walk-up Mexican food...hmmm, Let's go to Torchy's!!! Perfect. Unique variations of tacos, quesadillas, and tostatas. I'd say it was pretty authentic food for a walk in cafe. Food defo had a kick but I liked it. Quac was too spicy for our toddler but she will learn.

Quick service, good food and fantastic atmosphere. We set on the patio street side. Enjoyed our meal and service was very good. Could easily split either plate because portions are generous. Brisket quesadilla were excellent and my daughter had the enchilada plate. Next time we will split because i really wanted to try their tortilla soup. Leftovers for tomorrow.
