While visiting the Cambridge area we wanted some good Mexican Food and we found it at the Border Cafe. This a great place with lots of atmosphere, loud music and great food. All the food we ordered was great along with some good Margaritas. If you are in the area of Harvard stop in for some Mexican, you wonât go wrong. Just make sure you are not in a hurry because you are going to wait for a table.

The Painted Burro features an exciting seasonal menu that highlights the diverse cuisines of Latin America. From our wonderfully flavored moles to our selection of grilled meats and fish to our extensive list of over 100 craft tequilas the goal at The Pai
This is an attractive restaurant with a professional and charming waitstaff. There is a good selection of craft and imported beers. Those are the highlights. The food unfortunately massively disappoints. From the overly sweet and insipid pico de gallo served with chips, to fish tacos that not only lack any flavor but seem like deep-fried fish sticks to tough, flavorless meat, our meal was lackluster. What tipped it to truly awful were the margaritas, which are weak, liquid candy and an appetizer that was some sort of pancake and a soggy mess, that would be better (though still terrible) at IHOP. Itâs hard to see how this place thrives: there are far better Mexican restaurants in Cambridge/Somerville and this is a local population who appreciates well prepared, authentic foods.

We stopped by here occasionally when in Harvard Square. Itâs a nice chill dine in or take out Mexican restaurant with limited basic choices. Ordered the two (decent)soft tacos for $4.50 and like every time in the past when you get to the register the cost is much higher.. so basically if you get anything on it that it doesnât come with you pay extra ... i.e. guacamole $1extra really!
