Spent the night in Pooler at a nearby hotel. Found this restaurant on Tripadvisor. Located very near our hotel. Easy to find, good location, in a small shopping center. This place is unique! Upon entering, we were greeted in a very welcoming manner and seated immediately. While the restaurant looks small from the outside, itâs quite large and open inside. The menu is wonderful! We spent more than a few minutes deciding what to order. Meanwhile, a server came by, took our drink order as another server delivered chips and salsa. The chips and salsa were delicious! Not too salty, not too spicy. Excellent! Soon after taking our order, our drinks arrived. Cold beer, delicious margarita. Not long after, our meals arrived. My Andreaâs combo was totally delicious! The rice and beans were perfect but even more impressive were the enchiladas and burrito. The burrito was stuffed with quality beef skirt prepared on premises. Amazingly delicious! The chicken and ground beef enchiladas were also quite nice. Also, the grilled enchiladas were delicious! The portions are quite ample. Served hot! This place is great. Spoke with the owner who is very present, observing, serving, greeting, and making sure his patrons are being well served. Locals definitely have found this place and create a warm ,fun atmosphere. Very nice Mexican music (not live). The uniqueness of this place is obvious in a variety of ways ... the abundant, friendly servers are everywhere, attending to all the tables, no one individual server assigned to my table. It was great! The recipes originate from Texas which help make this restaurant unique, not the âtypical, ho-humâ Mexican restaurant. Glad we found this restaurant. We will DEFINITELY return!

Tijuana flats is a nice little tex-mex type restaurant that we have always been a fan of. I've always ordered blackened chicken flautas and have no reason to try anything different. The food is always good, but the hot sauce bar sets it apart from other restaurants. Everyone is always friendly and holds the door for you walking in and they check from time to time if you need anything. Aside from the flautas, the guacamole and chips is really tasty as well. You can't go wrong with those dishes. Dip the flautas in the cheese, and top with something from the hot sauce bar.

My family and I ate here in 2014 when it first opened. It was not a pleasant experience. This time was different, thankfully. The service was great, the food was good and speedy, and we had a much better time. We were able to get in before the lunch hour rush and miss the crowds, but it was still fairly busy. They have plenty of tables for a date between you and your special one, or a family get together upwards of 10-15 people. They have a bar, table-top electronic game options, pay at your seat, and a large menu. I'd recommend Chili's for these reasons. See...it was better than last time. ;)

This was our first vacation in over two years. Thank goodness, this place did not set the tone, for our trip. We had a small breakfast, at home, before our flight to Savannah. We arrived and we were starved, and wanted some Mexican. So after placing our order, 30 minutes later, the waitress said our food should be out shortly. Well...20 minutes, later...still no food, so we got up and left. So happy this was the only bad experience. The rest of our trip, was awesome...!!!

We should have walked away after seeing the "outage" sign on the front door. And we should have walked away after the ten minute wait for the bathroom. Or after seeing the condition of the bathroom. We waited in the line for food for 15 minutes. No beans? No salsa? What? So I definitely would have walked away if the sign or an employee had told me no soda. Who doesn't have soda???? Won't go back here like ever.
